Reviews
Even though it was a solo trip, I enjoyed the trip thanks to the guide who kindly guided me on the join tour. Please check that plastic bottles are not allowed in Kko Nang Yuan. To be honest, I was worried because it was my first time snorkeling, but the guide guided me through everything and floated the buoy so that it was not dangerous, so I went around holding the buoy. It was really fantastic to see such a beautiful island, beautiful fish, and turtles!
A good excursion to see the beautiful beaches from the sea and snorkel. Before buying an excursion to Kluka, look at the prices on the island, they are more interesting there.
Safety: Our guide was excellent, providing great care and showing us beautiful places. Views from the boat: We got to see the entire island, it was stunning. I'll definitely book again. Very impressed. They even took underwater photos for us. Loved it.
Great day out lots of stops and snorkeling good value for money and well organised
Enjoyed this trip so much!
we had a great day that we did not believen we see a turtle
It is a very good diving tour. From someone who can't swim and is very afraid of deep water. The guide will teach you and take you diving. Be safe and always help save me. The tour guide's name is Tai. It really helps to take the dive very well. Highly recommend this tour. If I have the opportunity to come again, I will definitely book a diving tour with this tour again. It was a lot of fun. Come visit with this tour a lot. I'm very impressed.
I couldn’t fault the tour. We got to the first island early and were able to reach the viewpoint before it got crowded with more tourists. The weather was a bit unpredictable but despite this is was still a great day!
This tour covers the snorkelling spots thoroughly around Koh Tao. Food and snacks were tasty. Staff are attentive and help to look out for safety and I appreciated them. And another great point is that the number of travellers is a good size, around 20+ people, not too packed, compared to the pther tour boats I saw.
It was great! Everyone on the staff took excellent care of us. On the day we went, I was the only Thai person there, but I had a lot of fun. The foreign guests were enjoyable and funny. The staff provided thorough and attentive care to everyone. We even saw a turtle! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see it in time, so the staff used a tow rope to pull me over to it, and then they swam with me to get a closer look.
Good to know
Start the trip with a pickup service from your hotel lobby and get driven to Mae Haad Pier where you will meet the crew of Sangthong Tours. After a quick health check, board the modified fishing cutter and chug to the first snorkel spot at Koh Nangyuan off Koh Tao’s northwest coast.
Walk on the iconic beach that links the group of three islands of Koh Nangyuan together, and climb up to the viewpoint on the peak of the highest of the three islands. There are a few separate swimming areas with tropical fish, including Japanese Garden as the best snorkeling spot and others where you can just chill out and relax.
Head over to Mango Bay while enjoying a Thai style lunch on board. The bay is named after many mango trees that once grew on this part of Koh Tao in abundance. The magnificent Mango Bay shines with turquoise green and beautiful waters that are full of marine life. Due to shallows off the beach and the sandy seafloor that gives the water a beautiful turquoise green hue, Mango Bay is a go-to destination for snorkel activities.
Continue to Hin Wong Bay located on the east coast of Koh Tao surrounded by big boulders. There are several underwater pinnacles covered in fertile coral, anemones and many kinds of fish that can be seen here. The water here is incredibly clear and you may be lucky enough to see great schools of sardines being chased by hungry trevally in water less than a metre deep.
The next stop is at Aow Luek which is named for its deep, concave shape as well as the depth of the water which makes it good for snorkeling even at very low tide. Expect a stunning scenery with white sandy beach and water varying shades of blue, and Shark Island in the background.
Before returning to the pier, make a stop at Shark Bay where you can swim alongside the many blacktip reef sharks or the sea turtles that come there each day.
