Reviews summaryWe experienced rafting with our 9 and 12 year old children. It's perfect for kids to enjoy. Even I, who am easily scared, had fun. You can buy drinks in the middle and pay later. (It's expensive!) The shower facilities are decent and towels are included. For lunch, they served mie goreng and nasi goreng, which were not bad. After the meal, we went to Monkey Forest to see monkeys and take pictures. It's smaller than I expected and there aren't many things to see, so I think rafting alone would have been enough.
It was a truly great experience. First of all, the driver who was in charge of our day was very kind and great. We first visited the Monkey Forest, then went to Ayung River rafting, and finally the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. It was a unique experience to have a monkey climb on my shoulder and take pictures with it in the Monkey Forest. However, when a monkey climbed on my son's shoulder, another monkey climbed on and they started fighting, resulting in a slight scratch on his face. ㅠㅠ Next was Ayung River rafting, and since we had four children, it seemed like we were the only family on the raft. Mr. Tom came aboard with us and drove the raft. He was very cheerful and a great person. He even chased away the (???) crocodiles, piranhas, and sharks that were somewhere. ㅎㅎㅎ However, you have to be prepared for the stairway to hell when you go rafting. But the rafting is really fun. Finally, we went to Tegalalang Rice Terrace to do the Bali swing. Before going, the driver explained that there were expensive Bali swings and cost-effective Bali swings, and allowed us to choose the one we wanted. We chose the cost-effective one, and later realized it was a really good choice. The cost-effective swing is like an outdoor studio where you can take many great photos, and professionals take pictures with our phones. They even use mirrors to take amazing photos. We got so many great shots. And then, the Tegalalang Rice Terrace view... it was the Bali swing that the driver said was expensive. When I saw the price, it was really expensive. The Bali swing here was thrilling, so only the kids rode it again. And here, another unforgettable incident occurred. My daughter dropped one of her Crocs into the rice paddies while riding the zip line. I was in a mental breakdown when I saw it. But the staff member smiled and said, "No problem," and went all the way to pick up the shoe. We almost had to go back barefoot. After completing all the schedules, we returned to the hotel. I think we made a lot of unforgettable memories. ㅎㅎ
Myself and 3 friends chose the rafting and ATV package. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. The rafting was super fun, long duration 2-2.5 hours with several stops along the way for drink breaks, photos and waterfalls. Our rafting guides were skilled, friendly and fun. After a yummy lunch included in the package, our ATV ride was exhilarating with varied terrains like dirt tracks, water with large rocks (super bumpy), tunnels and an open space to try tricks on the ATVs. Great experience with convenient pick up and drop off service from our accommodation as well. Purchasing the drone, gopro and professional photos costs extra (around 60-120 AUD), and we opted not to purchase. But the staff allowed us to bring our phones on the trip to take our own videos.
It was a fun, awesome and wonderful experience and adventure. Thank you to the coaches for leading us, and helped take photos at some beautiful waterfalls points. They also have professional photo/videographer to record the moments which you can buy at the end of the adventure. | Chin-chiàⁿ sī chi̍t-ê hó-sńg, chhù-bī koh bí-hó ê thé-giām kah mō͘-hiám. Best Driver in Bali! Darmadi was our driver today under Bali Sun Tour, and he was fantastic. He brought lots of fun to our day with his humorous and energetic personality. During the drive, he shared his experiences with other customers, making our otherwise boring ride very enjoyable. He was considerate enough to stop talking when we were tired and needed to take a nap. This thoughtfulness was much appreciated. Moreover, Darmadi went above and beyond by joining us in going down the waterfall and taking photos for us, even though it wasn't included in the original plan. He truly made our day and left us with a wonderful impression of the people of Bali. Rafting: The coach, Roggi, was great. The showers were clean. Roggi was caring and fun, giving clear directions during the rafting experience. He even taught me some Balinese, although I've already forgotten most of it. The journey was long enough to make us tired but not excessively exhausting. Be prepared for a hike down to the river and back up to the center. It's advisable not to wear slippers, and it's better to bring your own towels. The food provided was average, but it served its purpose of filling up our empty stomachs. Waterfall: The waterfall was nice and provided a great backdrop for photos. The water was refreshing. The best part was that there was no need to queue for photo taking, as the waterfall was large enough to accommodate everyone.
Since I was traveling alone, I couldn't choose a product that included pick-up and drop, so when I went in and out of Ubud by Go-Jek, I didn't catch Go-Jek, so I took Grab and came out. Arrive at Yellow Garden, equip the equipment, take a truck for 5 to 10 minutes, then walk down the stairs for 5 to 10 minutes. The stairs are a bit steep, but not terribly dangerous. I rode 4 people, including 2 men from another team and a guide, and it was a really fun experience. It was great to have a small bintang (50,000 rupiah) while taking a break in the middle. At the moment when I was thinking about whether I should buy a bottle for my guide, the staff at the store forced me to buy a guide? It seemed like a suggestion? I go into the water in the middle and swim for a while, but this is a lot of fun!! If you walk up a bit from the ending point, you will come to Yellow Garden again. Wash up and eat lunch. The quality of the photos and videos (300,000 rupiah each) is also good.
Pickup driver was on time. We had a great time with the activities , both atv and water rafting were fun. Our guides were friendly and made sure we are okay throughout the activities. The buffet lunch is good too. Great photos were taken, you can have them with a fee of course.
The steps are a killer be it up or down to the rover before u get to the raft to start your adventure. But it’s definitely worth the achy muscles the next day especially for first timers and children as well. Very safe and easy for families although not for babies but the view along the way and passing by luxury hotels along the river is eye opening too! Do this when you are in Ubud to lessen traveling time
Unfortunately it started raining cats and dogs, so we did not get the chance to go to the waterfalls. But the time we had at River rafting was soo much fun and very beautiful.
really fun experience and suitable for beginners to water rafting. got to do a little bit of climbing before and after the rafting but it is still alright
