What to expect
Discover the unique and magnificent animals of the Arctic on a tour of Ranua Zoo and 2 Finnish farms from Rovaniemi! Start to head over to Ranua Wildlife Park, where you'll spot some owls, lynx, and even eagles if you're lucky! See at least 200 Arctic animals in their habitats - watch as the wolves guard their territories, touch the hair of Sälli the elk as he approaches you through the fence, and meet the polar bear couple Venus and Manasse. The tour was amazing! Our guide was very friendly and we got to try the reindeer and husky ride, before heading to the wildlife park. Had loads of fun and saw many cute animals!
This is a great tour to join if you wanna experience all the animals Finland is popular for. You get to interact with the huskies and reindeer which was nice. The wildlife park was pleasant too. Our guide Maria was really helpful and friendly.
The itinerary was packed. We went to play with huskies and reindeer sleds early in the morning, and then visited the snow animal park to see polar animals, including polar bear reindeer, arctic owls, and some special local species, for about 90 minutes. It included a buffet lunch at the zoo, the quality of which was acceptable, and then a one-hour drive back to the center. The downside is that the husky sled and reindeer sled only went around once, for about 1 minute and 5 minutes respectively, which was too short and insufficient for a good experience. Considering the price, I don't think it was cost-effective, but the tour guide service was okay.
The tour is fruitful and full of joy. within one day we got to visit husky and reindeer farm, The beautiful snowy hiking trail, and the zoo. I love the hiking trail most especially the weather was great.
Edgar is a very nice guide. He is talkative and knowledgeable even he is not a local Finnish. He shared lots of info about Finland cultures, weathers, and environments. Definitely recommend this tour because it was not rush. Edgar allowed us to spend much time to explore the surroundings.
The activities are rich in content, and the experience of riding a deer cart and husky is very rare. But maybe the weather is too cold and most of the animals in the zoo are hiding.
The sled dogs were lively and adorable, and the reindeer looked endearingly clumsy; the entire activity proceeded slowly and safely. Our Chinese-speaking guide took great care of us and communicated very well. The polar bears at the zoo were very active, and their playful antics were truly charming.

One price includes pick-up and drop-off. The snow scenery in the Arctic Zoo is beautiful in winter. You can experience the quiet and elegant pure deer cart and the speed-stimulating husky dog cart. Lunch is also included. It is great value.
A very interesting day! I enjoyed the husky/elk sledding, beautiful scenery and safari park in one day, and I thought it was worth it. If you have any questions, you can report them to customer service and they can respond quickly, which makes you feel at ease.
