Ranua Wildlife Park Animal Fun Day Experience

This is a great tour to join if you wanna experience all the animals Finland is popular for. You get to interact with the huskies and reindeer which was nice. The wildlife park was pleasant too. Our guide Maria was really helpful and friendly.

Edgar is a very nice guide. He is talkative and knowledgeable even he is not a local Finnish. He shared lots of info about Finland cultures, weathers, and environments. Definitely recommend this tour because it was not rush. Edgar allowed us to spend much time to explore the surroundings.

The tour was amazing! Our guide was very friendly and we got to try the reindeer and husky ride, before heading to the wildlife park. Had loads of fun and saw many cute animals!

It was a great experience as we were able to ride on a husky sleigh and a reindeer sled, and also go to Ranua Zoo, the northernmost zoo in the world. It seemed like it would be difficult to go to Ranua Zoo on our own, so it was nice that it included sledding, lunch, and transportation. They gave me a lecture on sledding, took photos and videos, and toured the zoo with me, so I was able to see it efficiently. There was a Fazer shop nearby and I was able to shop at a good price.

It was a very comprehensive and well planned tour. We really enjoyed it and highly recommended!

The itinerary was packed. We went to play with huskies and reindeer sleds early in the morning, and then visited the snow animal park to see polar animals, including polar bear reindeer, arctic owls, and some special local species, for about 90 minutes. It included a buffet lunch at the zoo, the quality of which was acceptable, and then a one-hour drive back to the center. The downside is that the husky sled and reindeer sled only went around once, for about 1 minute and 5 minutes respectively, which was too short and insufficient for a good experience. Considering the price, I don't think it was cost-effective, but the tour guide service was okay.

The tour is fruitful and full of joy. within one day we got to visit husky and reindeer farm, The beautiful snowy hiking trail, and the zoo. I love the hiking trail most especially the weather was great.

The activities are rich in content, and the experience of riding a deer cart and husky is very rare. But maybe the weather is too cold and most of the animals in the zoo are hiding.

The guide was good and the travel company Guys this is a perfect tour if you have very few days in rovaneimi It’s perfect as thought the entire day you cover the highlights . I do this with my 6 year old 1) trek to the rovaneimi hill ounasvara was an amazing experience and really fun and short 2) the husky farm - it was a 3 min ride so just gives you a feel of what it is . I researched a lot and I should have gone for the 3 km or the 10 km as this experience cannot be repeated anywhere in the world other than Lapland . So this combo will work if you have like 3 days in rovaneimi only and you have to go back to your city 3) reindeer farm - this was fun and a small round but good enough to get the experience 4) Ranua Zoo - it’s location is beautiful and you will never experience a zoo while covered in snow , but my advise is that this can be missed as it’s not worth travelling the distance and the amount of time invested spent . Animals are few , birds are barely one per cage . So my advise is this can be skipped unless you have a spare day then do it My 6 year old enjoyed it but not thrilled with the experience
