Authentic Reindeer Farm Visit
Rovaniemi
- . Visit a Traditional, Family-Run Reindeer Farm Step into the everyday life of real local reindeer herders. This isn’t a tourist show — it’s an authentic experience hosted by people who have lived with and cared for reindeer for generations.
- Meet and feed the reindeer in a peaceful forest environment. Learn about their habits, personalities, and importance to Lapland culture — and yes, there’s plenty of time for up-close photos.
- Sit by the fire inside a traditional wooden kota hut as your host shares stories & customs. A beautiful cultural moment in a cozy setting.
- Hot Drinks & Lappish Snacks by the Fire Warm up with hot berry juice and traditional Lappish snacks served in the kota — a comforting moment that feels like visiting a local friend, not a tourist attraction.

What to expect
Experience the timeless traditions of reindeer herding as you witness the care given to these magnificent creatures during winter. Enjoy a thrilling 400m reindeer sled ride before warming up in a traditional wooden cabin with hot drinks and cookies. Immerse yourself in the stories of reindeer herding life and local culture, making memories to cherish forever
Please keep in mind that in the beginning of the season (November) or end of the season (april) the sled ride cannot be guaranteed as this depend on the snow conditions of the tracks.
If the ride is not possible, you will be given the opportunity instead to spend sometime inside the fence with the reindeers and feed them and take some photos and videos with them
