Versailles Palace Half-day Audio Guided Trip from Paris

we took the bus going to Versailles and it is a half-day tour. it is enough to see the whole palace and gardens. for the audio guide: you need to download it and use your own cellphone and earphones.

It was very simple and great. The round trip time was short and efficient, and the bus was comfortable.

The tour bus was clean and the pickup was on time.

This is esentially providing a round trip bus tour from the Pullman Hotel near Eiffel Tower to the Versailles Palace and back. You are then free to explore at your own will with a set time of meeting back at the bus. Anyway its not very difficult to take public transport from central Paris. But if you want comfort and convinience then this is the way. The price includes the entrance ticket and access to the gardens as well.

Using public transportation was more tiring than I expected, so I chose this product and I'm very satisfied. I was able to enter immediately without waiting in line, the bus was great, and it didn't disrupt my afternoon schedule. I recommend the bus when the weather is hot.

Pretty disappointed. I booked a Chinese tour guide through the platform, but was told at the meeting point that a Chinese tour guide couldn't be arranged. They asked if we wanted an English or French tour instead. Ugh, bummer! *crying emoji* We had to do it ourselves. I wonder if we'll get a refund.

Upon arriving at the hotel entrance for the scheduled pick-up, we waited for 15 minutes. When it was almost time for the scheduled pick-up, there was still no staff member in sight. Another tour group was also waiting, and we all asked other travelers and bus drivers, as well as staff from other travel agencies, but to no avail. We immediately contacted Klook customer service, but the phone number they provided was unreachable. Then, customer service gave us a landmark that was not at the hotel entrance, but over 300 meters away. We ran there, but still didn't see any staff or vehicle. We ran back to the hotel and saw a staff member in a red shirt who told us to run to a pick-up location about 150 meters away. Still no vehicle. Then, we went back to the corner opposite the hotel, where another staff member in a red shirt finally informed us that the bus had already left. In the end, we spent over an hour running around, only to miss the bus. Very poor and infuriating. The meeting point confirmed at the time of booking was completely incorrect.

On the way to versaille, the guide in the coach could have introduced some of the places we past on the way there. Leaving versaille was a bit hectic, no guidance on which coach to catch, just asked someone whether we could get on the coach that looked like the one we took to versaille. Basically a no frill experience that cost quite a lot, sitting on a coach with no aircon in sweltering heat. you are taken there by coach, dropped off, left to explore on your own. Find you own way to your coach for the way back.

There was no prior notification about needing to download an audio tour, and the guide didn't provide even a brief overview of the Palace of Versailles.
