An Unforgettable Culinary Journey in Seoul! While the city boasts an incredible array of restaurants, nothing compares to the hands-on joy of learning to prepare traditional Korean dishes yourself! This cooking class was an absolute highlight of my trip. Warm welcome, calming tea. Small, comforting class with personalized attention from Chef Woori, an exceptional teacher. He meticulously prepared everything, making it seamless. His insightful introduction to common Korean ingredients, emphasizing those easily found back home, truly empowers you to recreate these authentic meals long after your trip. We crafted banchan, soup of our choice, protein of our choice, bibimbap, and hotteok, while enjoying soju & makgeolli. We also enjoyed additional grilled meats. Chef Woori's passion for tasty food and presentation provided invaluable skills and memories. The venue is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend – I'd sign up again!
Highlight of our trip to Seoul! It is a new venture so there are not many reviews but don't let that put you off! We arrived an hour early and were able to leave our bags there and explore the area. The food was all incredibly good. It was the end of our trip so we were able to chose the dishes that we had tried and loved. We all made different dishes which made the dinner at the end more exciting. Every part of the experience was interesting and lovely. I originally wanted to do a class with a market tour but I'm so glad I chose this one. The space that you learn is also stunning. The interior design was really interesting and beautiful. Very high quality and aesthetic kitchen space.
I love cooking and today I participated in Soop Table's from Forest to Table Hansik Cooking Class. indeed it was a truly memorable experiences with no regret. I had so much fun in the culinary workshop and learnt so much from Teacher Woody. It was awesome having to cook such a wholesome nutritious meal and made so many types of banchan. Thank you to my teacher, Woody. Surely I will come again.
If you can’t decide on which cooking class to take, stop looking and take this one! It is really worth every penny. Woody is an excellent teacher, and he put so much effort into ensuring we had a great experience. The details are stunning and thoughtful - the moment we walked in, we were greeted with delicious plum tea and a calming atmosphere. The recipe cards are easy to follow and are available to view after the class. Woody prepared several aspects, like pre-portioning the meats and vegetables, but we got to do the rest! Make sure you save room - there is a LOT of food, but every bite is delicious. Thank you for a great experience, Woody!
We had a great time during the class. Chef Woody was very friendly, helpful and patient. I chose this class because not only did we get to make a main and soup ( you can choose what you like from the menu ) and 4 different types of banchan, we also got to make a hotteok for dessert. The studio is in Hongdae and is very beautifully decorated. We found it very relaxing to cook our meal, with the pleasant atmosphere, soothing music and careful instruction from Woody. Highly recommended !👍👍👍
We had a great time learning from Woody! He is really knowledgeable about korean food and korean history. The food we made was not only beautifull but also soooo good! We will be able to impress our friends with korean food now! What I really like about this course vs others that are available is that you choose a meat meal and a soup recipe for the course and each person can make a different one so more learning and more tasting different banchan. 😋 Come hungry it is alot of food and it would be sad to waste it! I definetly recommend this cooking course! Look no further and book it!
It was such an amazing cooking class experience with Chef Woody. All my family members included my 65-year-old mom & 12-year old son, everyone enjoyed it so much. Woody is a very nice chef, easy to communicate in English. He is very patient. He prepared all the ingredients in detail, his menu was great with diversity. We cooked the appetizer, soup, main dish with spicy / non-spicy & dessert. All the dishes really do represent the traditional taste of Korean food! The location of his cooking studio is great. The neighbourhoods are lots of shops, cafes & restaurants where you can spend a day after the cooking class. The interior design of Woody’s cooking studio is very stylish & comfy. It is designed & renovated by himself with his talent. All the cockery & equipments are clean & tidy. In overall, Woody is amazing, his cooking class is amazing too!!! WE LOVE IT A LOT!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I had the loveliest time taking this class with my friends. Definitely worth every penny! it was in the cleanest and cutest space ever, and the host went completely out of his way to make us feel welcomed. He spoke English fluently, and was very attentive, patient and friendly! The cooking was easy, the host prepared all the ingredients for us and walked us through every step. We were able to chose what dishes we wanted to make from a wide variety of options, which was nice because we could all share the food in the end. Everything was so delicious, and yoy get to keep the recipe at the end. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is traveling to Korea, it was definitely one of the best experiences from this trip! Thank you so much :)
I love taking cooking classes during my trips. This is one of the best cooking classes I have had. It is easy to follow. Woody is very accommodating and friendly, and he answers all my questions. I am a curious cook and I like recreating dishes at home. It was fun making easier versions of traditional Korean cuisine. Choose this class if you want to: (1) choose your main dish and soup, (2) be in a small class/private class, (3) have a relaxing cooking ambiance, (4) be in an aesthetic cooking studio, (5) take home the recipes, (6) film or document your experiences
I absolutely loved the cooking class with Woody. Not only was the food delicious and easy to make with his help but he was very informative and shared a lot of knowledge with us regarding food history and local recommendations. the cooking studio was also very clean and comfortable to take classes in. I would highly recommend classes with Woody to anyone interested.
