What to expect
- In the morning, take a direct bus to the scenic Shenshuping Base of China Giant Panda Garden. The base covers an area of 150 hectares and is home to 74 giant pandas, making it the largest artificially bred giant panda population base at home and abroad, accounting for about 50% of the total number of captive giant pandas in the world.
- The following are the contents of the panda volunteer experience activities: I. Pre-job training Handle relevant procedures, understand activity precautions, receive work clothes and gloves, and follow the popular science teacher to the feeding point. II. Clean up the work area Under the guidance of the popular science teacher, clean up the work area, prepare fresh bamboo for the giant pandas, and clean the park glass and other related work. III. Behavioral training Watch and learn about the behavioral training of giant pandas by keepers. IV. Visit the park Under the guidance of the popular science teacher, visit the park to learn interesting stories and popular science knowledge about giant pandas. After visiting the park, have lunch and rest. V. Watch documentaries Enter the world of giant pandas and gain an in-depth understanding of giant pandas through documentaries. VI. Giant Panda Nutritionist Understand the feeding habits and digestive system of captive giant pandas, learn the recipe for panda “wowo tou” (steamed corn bread), and make it. VII. Special diet for giant pandas Understand the special diet for giant pandas in the rehabilitation area and prepare special food for them. VIII. Award certificates Return work clothes, gloves, and other equipment, and issue certificates and souvenirs. In the evening, after the volunteer experience, a special car will take you back to Chengdu city. - As a rare and protected animal, giant pandas are strictly prohibited from being touched or privately fed by tourists according to the strict regulations of the scenic area, in order to protect their health and safety. At the same time, given the extremely limited number of volunteer participants, to ensure your successful participation, please book at least 30 days in advance. 2. - Pick-up and Drop-off Service Area: We provide free pick-up and drop-off services for customers within the Third Ring Road of Chengdu city.
