What to expect
Australia’s capital city, Canberra, was purpose-built to cater for the nation’s political seat. Its location was chosen as a compromise between rival cities Sydney and Melbourne. Canberra is also, the location for numerous social and cultural organizations which hold national significance such as National Gallery, Australian War Memorial and Australian National University. The modern architecture is striking and the layout most impressive.

Reviews
Our driver and guide, Gordon, was fantastic. He managed to point out landmarks and share historical insights while driving. He also recommended great photo spots for us to capture the beauty of Canberra, including the views, various embassies, and the stunning scenery along the way. We even saw lots of animals because of the farms alongside the road, including sheep, horses, cows, kangaroos, and more.
I have seen average reviews of Canberra one-day tours in other places. When I signed up for the tour, I actually didn’t have high expectations for the tour. I wanted to see what Australia’s capital was like, but this tour was better than I expected. Much better, especially the buffet, which was a pleasant surprise. The tour guide told us some about the history of Australia along the way. In addition to taking us to visit some tourist attractions, the tour guide also cruised in the city center of Canberra, allowing us to better understand the city of Canberra. If you don’t mind the 6-hour drive back and forth between Sydney and Canberra, you can sign up for this tour to visit Canberra.
I met the best tour guide in Australia, the explanation is very detailed, humorous
Guide - Alfie, our guide with the yellow cap was great! Knowledgeable, friendly, took care of the group. Driver - Simon, friendly and skilful, brought us safely the whole day and back. Tour - well spaced and sufficient time to visit.
Our tour guide, Gordon, was friendly and kind. He explained a lot about the history of Canberra and Australia in both Chinese and English, such as the story of Sydney and Melbourne competing to be the capital. He also took us to many different places, including Lake George, Lake Griffin, the Canberra Mint, Parliament House, various embassies, and the War Memorial. It was a fulfilling and historically informative tour!
It’s a good day trip. The drive is quite long, but the tour guide is very good. There are introductions in Chinese and English throughout the journey. The only thing is that there is no seafood in the buffet, which does not match the picture.
The highlight of the journey was we were sitting in the gallery when the House had a sitting, and it was unnoticed QnA at that time. We saw the prime minister and other minsters. The royal mint factory, capital exhibition were just soso. And it seemed we did not go to war memorial building, maybe I was sleeping when the guide announced the changed schedule. Anyway its not bad.
good tour. My mom enjoyed it very much. it’s the second time I book this visit. it’s very worthy.
Mr. Yan is a very professional tour guide. We had a wonderful day trip in Canberra!
Alfie is an Australian with a Chinese major, communication is seamless, professional and patient, the overall itinerary is reasonably arranged, the pace is good, a good tour guide worth recommending!
