Carve Your Art: Hand-on Wood Carving Workshop with Hoi An Masters

Whole family had fun! Patience and help from our instructor was much appreciated given our lack of skills 😂 End results look lovely and will be a great memento of our trip to Da Nang and Hoi An.

A couple signed up for the class that started at 2 PM on a weekend! I was worried about the location being remote, but it seems like the Grab drivers usually offer a fixed price for the return trip when you go there, so you don't have to worry about that. The experience itself was one of the most satisfying experiences I had while traveling in Vietnam. I especially loved the works displayed in the mini-museum and the kind explanations. The amazing final product is well worth the slight muscle pain that comes with it. Enjoy the peaceful scenery of the workshop too. I'm so happy to have such a wonderful souvenir to look back on when I return home! The previous content was translated smoothly. It was so good that I wondered why there weren't many Korean customers. The value for money is excellent!

A really unique experience unlike others in Vietnam. A relaxing time spent working with wood with trained artisans who guide you and help you address mistakes. Is great for ages 8 or 9 and up. I personally had a great time and would do it again.

The activity was very entertaining, even though it took around 3 hours. I was the only customer participating in this wood carving session, which was great because the instructor could focus solely on me. First, the instructor, named Thigh brought me to a small museum showcasing their carved creations, including Naruto and other anime-themed wood stands that they made themselves. Then, he took me to see how the production process worked, and I got to watch the workers carving the statues. After that, I started carving based on the design I chose. He was incredibly kind and helpful, assisting me whenever I needed guidance. He was very supportive, patient, and truly the best teacher I could have asked for. We also had some great conversations during the class, which made the experience even more special. It’s definitely one of my best memories from Hoi An!

Experience: It was very impressive to try woodworking for the first time. I didn't think it would be possible to create something in 3 hours, but I was able to finish even difficult tasks with a lot of help from the instructor. Instructor: I admired the way other artisans worked and their creations. I was grateful that the instructor with many years of experience was kind and taught me well. Safety: You need to be careful because you are handling sharp tools.

Fabulous activity, no experience required. Tutors very friendly and knowledgeable, experienced at guiding you to create your own masterpiece. Set in the most beautiful location by the river. Both myself and husband had a fantastic time, so glad we re arranged our activities to schedule this in.

I was a great experience and the guys are expert and welcoming. I would recommend to have overall guidelines on the technique foe moving steps so we could better understand how to connect each step.

this class was one of my favourite classes I have done in Vietnam and a really lovely souvenir. The people who run the class are super lovely and helpful and happy to answer any questions you have. would 100% recommend this course!

We went as a group of 4 and had an amazing time. Super challenging, but fun at the same time. We enjoyed watching the teachers show their skills more than the class itself. These guys are truly masters at their craft. 10/10 would recommend this class if anyone is staying in the Hoi An area.

My dad and I went together and luckily it was only us in the morning class so it was a very personalised and fun experience. They let you choose what design you want to create, so I carved a very cute Miya Atsumu. Highly recommend if you have 3 hours to spend!
