The location is ideal; within walking distance of shopping, metro stations, and taxis. Our room wasn't large, but I loved the tasteful decor, shower, comfortable bed, and cool lounger! Unlike so many of the modern minimalist boring hotel rooms, this one reflected the character of older Spain! 🇪🇸 The included Continental breakfast was delicious and conveniently located on the first floor. The best feature though was a very sweet, helpful young woman who worked at the front desk! I wish I had gotten her name. She gave us restaurant recommendations, which were excellent, always greeted us warmly when we came into the tiny lobby. She even printed our tickets for a bullfight that were on my husband's phone! She was remarkable! And she spoke English as well as she spoke her native language, Spanish! 👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I highly recommend this hotel!

Great boutique hotel in the heart of Madrid. It’s within walking distance to many of Madrid’s attractions. Close to plenty of restaurants and local fare. Very nice continental breakfast was included in our rate. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s an excellent hotel to use as a base to explore Madrid.

The breakfast was tremendous and the staff were fabulous. Our room was impeccably clean but the lighting was poor especially in the bathroom. Having a good light by the mirror is essential for a contact lens wearer!

This is a small hotel in an excellent area: close to Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, two metro stops. There are many restaurants nearby, and it is on a pedestrian street. However, cabs can drop you off a few yards from the door. Breakfast room is bright and the food good. The negatives are NO lobby to speak of: just two chairs and the registration desk. The room we had was of the 194sf variety pictured online. The size was a bit tight, but the bathroom appeared to be recently renovated with a nice, large shower and spacious sink counter. If you are very overweight, you may not squeeze into the toilet corner. Average folks will be fine. The biggest negative was that the room was very dark: small reading lamps (very small reading lamps) on either side of the bed, one dim overhead light, and one in the entry. There were windows, but they overlooked a dark alley--almost no daylight. It was hard just to pack the suitcases. Bed was comfy though, and it was all very clean. You can't beat the space for convenience. We stayed 4 nights with no problems.
