small but it is very reasonable consider its price. very clean. the amazing curtains offered total darkness even in the day time. The hotel is located in a small alley. I took sometime to find. However, the hotel is very convenient. Walking distance to 2 shopping malls and Beppu tower. Breakfast is traditional Japanese set. Friendly staffs. Recommended!

cannot reccomend this ryokan enough, the location was fantastic; only a 6 minute walk from the beppu station and the staff were so friendly it warmed my heart. My partner and I booked the private onsen during check in the day of and managed to get the exact time we wanted. The older gentlemen who I believe owns the ryokan was so kind and generous I would return to this ryokan just to see him again! The tatami rooms were clean and the ammenities all were provided. The prices were unbeatable and arguably provided one of the largest rooms I’ve experienced in Japan. Yukata and traditional bedding were prepared and ready for us upon check in. Multiple public onsen and private onsen were available for use. Private onsen only cost 500 yen for 50 minutes. 7 hells of beppu was only a 40 minute bus ride away. Truly I lack the words to convey how much I enjoyed and reccomend this hotel. Whenever I’m back in beppu I will be back to this ryokan!
