The schedule until Phillip Island was a bit tight, but it was still a great experience!! I was so happy just seeing the moving koalas and kangaroos, and the penguins were so cute too :)

The great ocean road tour guide + driver David Hsu did an excellent job! very professional friendly, talented and speak many languages (English Chinese, Cantonese etc) He explained the attractions clearly and shared some stories (Legend of Eva) to us in humour way. He even gave us personal/family photoshoot on the beach with guitars. For most of the attraction we had extra time given by David and he also drop all of us to our stated hotel or location within Melbourne CBD area. Thanks David Hsu! we enjoyed it.

The redemption process went smoothly. I bought a regular seat and finally sat on the beach. I saw the little penguins slowly walking ashore, which was very cute. There are little penguins on the trail 🐧 waiting for their parents to come home, you can pay close attention while walking☺️ You can see beautiful stars at the end of the stage❤️

The day trip was originally scheduled to start at 1345, but the bus didn't arrive until 1415, which was delayed by half an hour. There were three tour buses to pick up all the tourists, and some of the tour guides had bad attitudes.

I didn't go to the Rainbow House and the zoo, but the penguins and the train are really must-sees. The train experience was great. It was the first time in my life that I stretched my hands and feet outside the train.

2. The Nobbies

For amazing ocean views and cool rock formations, check out the Nobbies. Here, you can walk along the boardwalks to check out hidden beaches and see seals in their natural habitat. And definitely, see the blowhole—it’s an awesome water show.

3. Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park

Get close to Australia's native animals like eastern barred bandicoots and kangaroos. The sanctuary has both day and night tours so you can see animals that come out at night. It's a great place to interact with local wildlife.

4. Brighton Beach Boxes

Just a short drive from Phillip Island, you can visit the iconic Brighton Beach Boxes. These colorful, bathing boxes are perfect for photos. You can also swim, or just enjoy the views of Melbourne's ocean.

Penguin Parade Tips for Your Visit

How early should I get to the Penguin Parade?

You should arrive at least 1 hour before the penguins show up. This will give you plenty of time to check out the visitor center, stroll around the secluded beach, and find a good spot on the viewing platform.

How long does the Penguin Parade last?

The Penguin Parade lasts about an hour. If you get there an hour before sunset, you should plan for a total of two hours for the entire experience.

When’s the best month to watch the Penguin Parade

The Penguin Parade at Phillip Island Nature Parks is a great attraction all year, but some months are better for visiting. The best times to go are October, November, March, or April.
