Things to do in Xindian District

Start at Bitan Scenic Area, especially around sunset when the river, bridge, and hillside lights create a pleasant evening atmosphere. Rent a paddle boat, stroll the waterfront path, or stop at one of the riverside restaurants and cafes. Active travelers can explore nearby trails, continue toward Wulai hot springs and waterfall, or use Xindian as a jumping-off point for south Taipei nature trips. The district is also convenient for combining with Gongguan, Jingmei Night Market, or Maokong via MRT and bus connections. Xindian is best experienced at a slower pace, with time for riverside views rather than a packed checklist.
