Things to do in Taichung

Our Alishan tour was absolutely unforgettable! The scenery was breathtaking, from the misty forests to the iconic mountain views, and everything was perfectly planned. What truly made the experience exceptional was our tour guide, Victor. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about Alishan’s history and nature. Victor made sure everyone was comfortable, shared interesting stories along the way, and knew all the best spots for photos. The entire day was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alishan—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Victor as your guide!

Our trip was really fun and amazing! The itinerary fits perfectly with what we expected when exploring central taiwan. Vincent, the tour guide was really nice and he even shared some facts about the places we visited. He also actively checked on everyone and made sure we had fun. This was overall a great tour. Our Taichung tour was such a blast! Eric our tour guide was friendly, fun, and very accommodating. His English was great and easy to understand even from the back of the bus. We loved that the food, free boba tea, and ice cream were ready for claiming as soon as we arrived thanks to the tour’s exclusive ordering system, no waiting in lines at all! The itinerary was packed but the day flew by because the experience was truly enjoyable. We were initially thinking of doing DIY but joining the tour was definitely the better choice. The package was absolutely worth it and we would love to come back and book again with R Day Tours.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, I took my child to Mala Bay for the first time. I recommend starting with the Lazy River and the inflatable water park (life jackets required for both adults and children). The double-rider waterslide at Abu Bay is also fun and exciting.

The Taichung National Science and Technology Museum is definitely worth a visit. There’s so much to see and explore, from interactive exhibits to fascinating displays about science and technology. Buying tickets through Klook is very convenient, which makes the visit even better. It’s a great destination for families, students, or anyone curious about science. I highly recommend setting aside a few hours to fully enjoy everything the museum has to offer.

The toll booth signal was good this time, so I was able to use the Q code to redeem my ticket. I still recommend taking a screenshot before heading up the mountain just in case. Online ticket purchases include free parking. There are many trails to choose from, and staying in the cabins is a lot of fun. There are currently no shops, so remember to bring plenty of food.

Purchasing Klook tickets is more advantageous than buying them on-site. The environment is clean, the water quality is good, and the hot spring quality is excellent. The nude hot springs are separated for men and women and have pools of different temperatures, as well as spa, steam room, and sauna facilities. After soaking in the hot springs, we had lunch at the Hanami Western Restaurant. Although there aren't many food options, the food is all very fresh. There's no need to jostle with crowds to get food, and the service attitude is very friendly. Highly recommended.

I didn't expect to see a professional circus in Taiwan! The price is really reasonable! There wasn't a dull moment, time flew by! Afterwards, we watched the dreamy bubble magic show! The bubble princess was so beautiful, and the performance was humorous and fun, making both adults and children laugh and interact and dance together! Highly recommended.
