I was truly impressed with this trip. Every place we visited was absolutely beautiful. The guide took great care of us and gave us enough time at each destination to fully enjoy and soak in the atmosphere. The travel time between each stop was just right, and I loved every destination along the way. I would definitely love to come back and take this trip again!

The tour was a very pleasant experience; we visited several important sites and received informative explanations about them, learning about the local culture. We are Brazilian and speak very little English, yet Willa was incredibly attentive and patient with us. We highly recommend this tour and are grateful to Willa.

this was a good experience:) i didn’t have it planned before hand my original plans changed because of the weather so this was a great alternative option, great price, you can spend as long as you want exploring the exhibits, the team was so kind, and i was also able to book off klook while walking to teamlabs so that was also super nice and convenient, they also had free lockers!!

If you're taking the Sagano Romantic Train and then the Hozugawa River Boat Ride, it's best to allow an hour and a half between them. For example, if your train arrives at 11:00 AM, book the 12:30 PM boat ride. After getting off the train, there will be signs directing you through a tunnel to the bus stop. The bus will make a brief stop and then go directly to the Hozugawa River Boat Ride building. There's a small shop where you can buy snacks and drinks; definitely buy something to drink, as the boat shop won't appear for about an hour and a half after you board. The boatman on our trip was very entertaining, likely a veteran, and interacted well with the passengers. When we encountered rapids, he would playfully warn passengers about a little splashing. You won't get completely soaked, as there are tarps for cover. Throughout the journey, the boatman spoke a mix of Japanese and short English phrases, and also used gestures to point out the local wildlife. The boat ride is spectacular and highly recommended.

My family and I rented kimonos and paid extra for pictures taken by a photographer that they provided. The kimonos were beautiful and the pictures came out really nice. 100% will recommend and I will suggest to pay extra for pictures because the memories are what matters the most and to have something beautiful to remember is worth every. Also, the staff was very helpful in picking the kimonos, helping us put it on and picking the perfect hairstyle that went well with the kimono each of us picked.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience today. I learned so much about the history of matcha, which was unexpected. The hosts were friendly and spoke great English. I will definitely visit them again on my next trip to Kyoto.

One of the BEST experiences of our Japan trip! From arrival, everyone was kind, patient and welcoming. We were three generations: my mom, me and my 4-year-old daughter, and they found matching kimonos for ALL of us! My mom and I are plus-size, and we had beautiful options without needing the ¥5,000 celebratory upgrade. They even had my daughter’s size and gave her a sweet little add-on.
We also booked the 60-minute photography session directly through the kimono shop, and DO IT! 📸 Our photographer was amazing. He posed and directed us, chose beautiful locations, and captured individual, mother-daughter and three-generation photos. It was HOT, we needed restroom breaks, and we had a 4-year-old, but he was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. Just LOOK at these photos! We left with more than vacation pictures; we have family keepsakes we’ll treasure forever. 👘💕

We had such an amazing experience during our Kyoto photoshoot. From the beginning, Mr. Kai made us feel comfortable and guided us naturally through every pose, which helped us enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the camera. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful — every shot captured the atmosphere of Kyoto, the details of our outfits, and the emotions of the day perfectly.

Since our hotel was not far from Kyoto Tower, we were able to walk there. That was very convenient. Entry was quick with no long wait. It might take a bit longer around sunset. Once we got to the top, we really enjoyed the view and would definitely come back here anytime. From our perspective - 10 out of 10 points.
