Tokyo Walking Tour
- Experience the quietly stunning beauty of Meiji Shrine built in the 1920s
- Discover the mysterious past of the Japanese imperial family and glimpse the splendid architectural design of the palace
- Stroll Nihonbashi, visit the famous bridge and soak up the prosperous atmosphere
- Allow your English speaking guide to better explain Tokyo's history as you tour the area
What to expect
Tokyo's most famous Shinto shrine, Meiji Shrine, is a welcome retreat from the frenzy of Tokyo. Soak up the serence atmosphere, write wishes on paper tied to the prayer wall, or watch a wedding procession glide past. Next stop is the city's impressive Imperial Palace. Once the world's largest fortress (though little of it remains), the palace is now home to the Emperor and Imperial Family. Whilst most of the building is off limits, the grounds and East Garden are a beautiful place to stroll. Afterwards, venture into the 'center of Japan' at Tokyo's business district, Nihonbashi. A hub of shopping and dining, make sure to also walk over the area's namesake, Nihonbashi Bridge.

Reviews
Machiko-San took excellent care of us with a customized four hour walking tour of some of the highlights we wanted to see! we toured the Koishikawa Korakuen gardens, the imperial palace, and SHIBUYA. Machiko-San gave an in-depth overview of Japanese history and explained important things about what we were seeing that we’d totally have missed if she wasn’t there!
I booked an 8-hour walking tour. They made sure to email me and message me on WhatsApp closer to the date to ask me what my preferences are. I told them, I want to do both popular and local destinations. My tour guide was Ms. Satoko, and I had a great experience with her! She took me to Tsujiki, Asakusa, Akihabara, Yanaka-Ginza, Shibuya, Harujuku. Got all of the footage I needed! She was an awesome tour guide. I learned so much from her to prep me for exploring Japan on my own, and I absolutely loved the history lessons she shared. Thank you to Satoko for taking all of my videos and staying with me to the hotel despite being past our end time. 💖🇯🇵🗾
Excellent tour. Very obliging and informative guide
Very kind guide, received a handwritten card on arrival at the hotel the day before. The whole guided tour is like walking with a good friend, giving detailed introductions while talking homely; meeting married couples at Meiji Shrine, and parents who take their children to worship and celebrate the "Seven-Five-Three" festival. Great experience, highly recommended.
Our tour guide Yoko is a super friendly, nice, accommodating lady. She answered all our questions & made us laugh. Gave us directions even after our tour. She's sucha heart elder warming lady but she's super knowledgable about the places she brings you especially all the histories. Even ones that is not on the tour itinerary, she could tell you almost everything which was super interesting to us that she knows so much.
