Review for: 【Josaien】Kimono Rental with Photoshoot Japanese Culture Experience

Our experience with the Kumamoto Castle & Josaien Kimono and Yukata Experience was very enjoyable overall, with the Klook booking process being smooth and convenient, making the activity easy to access and manage. The pricing feels reasonable considering both the cultural experience and the beautiful historical surroundings included. The facilities were clean, organized, and tourist-friendly, with staff assisting properly during the kimono and yukata dressing process. Staff were polite, patient, and helpful, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the activity. The highlight was walking around the Kumamoto Castle and Josaien area while wearing traditional Japanese attire, which created a very authentic and memorable atmosphere. The experience also offered great opportunities for photography and cultural immersion. Overall, it is a unique and worthwhile activity for travelers wanting to experience a traditional side of Japan.

The shop is easy to find, and the staff is very kind. There was no impatience or anger during the communication process. They quickly helped us change into our outfits and printed photos for us as a souvenir. In addition, we could take home the kimono bag and split-toe socks, which was awesome. Location: Sakura-no-baba Josaien Facilities: Be careful as you need to return the kimono by 17:00, and be cautious of the contact between the shoes and socks, which can be a bit slippery.

Review for: 【Josaien】Kimono Rental with Photoshoot Japanese Culture Experience

I purchased a kimono rental service from Wa Collection Mito through Klook (with a free Suizenji Jojuen Garden ticket), and also bought hair accessories. The price was reasonable and the service staff was very kind, friendly, and polite. Even though we had a language barrier and communicated with a translator, she still tried hard to make us understand. I give it a five-star rating.

The auntie who helped with the yukata and the uncle who took photos were very kind, but you might need to remind them about the tote bag and socks included in the fee (which are replaced with a Kumamon fan in summer). Although the weather was really hot, the experience was still quite good.

We booked the first session at 9:15 AM, arriving around 9:00 AM. The staff let us in to choose our clothes early. They were very friendly and helped us change quickly. We also purchased hair accessories and they quickly helped us style our hair. It doesn't include makeup, and although it's not an elaborate style, for 990 yen, there's nothing to complain about. It was a great experience and suitable for friends who want to try wearing a kimono.

The shop is easy to find, and the staff is very good. They weren't impatient or angry even though we were 10 minutes late. They quickly helped us change clothes, took two photos and printed them out for us as a souvenir. They also gave us a kimono bag and tabi socks, which are super cute. Safety: Be careful, the transition between the shoes and socks can be slippery. Equipment: Kimonos must be returned before 17:00 (5:00 PM). Kind and professional service. There are many kimono styles and props are also available. Remember to add a hair accessory service to make the look even more realistic.

Wearing a kimono looks beautiful, but it's such a hassle. Plus, with wooden clogs, you really can't walk far. When we went, it was one day after heavy rain, and the temperature was already not ideal for wearing a kimono. It's probably better to go in winter.
