Reviews
We stepped out of our car and was promptly greeted by Hiroko san who handed us scissors and started the cooking class immediately. We cut various herbs from her garden and then went into her kitchen to start preparing the other ingredients. From making the dough for the soba and then assembling the whole bowl, steaming an okinawan brown sugar ginger cake dessert, brewing hisbiscus tea, preparing Okinawan-Style Mixed Rice, it was a fun and educational cooking class! Many photos were taken and sent to us too. Overall, a highly recommended cooking class!
The location can be found using the navigation. It is a very good family itinerary. The food is also very delicious. The shooting menu is also very diverse. The food is very authentic. It is a very good experience.
Such a fun experience in Okinawa! Hiroko is very nice and very patient. We wandered over to her little cooking studio in Yagaji Island where we learnt to make 3 dishes - an Okinawan flavoured rice (Jushi), Okinawan Soba Noodles and a steamed cake desert using the Okinawan brown sugar. Everything was done from scratch, including walking out to her garden and picking some of the herbs used in the dishes. Would recommend heading up to see Hiroko if you're in the area :)
