Silom Thai Cooking School in Bangkok

Best experience ever! Our instructor Fern was very kind, helpful and funny❤️The building was very aesthetic and nice as well—the minute you walk in you could smell how good the place is. Very cozy and homey. I like how there is an area for eating, preparing, and cooking. The market tour was very educational as well and surprisingly safe (I was able to pull out my camera without any worry or fear for my safety) The food we made are very tasty and this experience is worth every penny! I don’t actually cook at home but I learned a lot through this cooking class. Me and my mom enjoyed this very much and every staff here is so friendly and nice! I am also happy that they have a lot of free giveaways for us at the end of the class hehe.

Highly recommended! The environment is clean, and it's quite close to the BTS, about a 10-minute walk, but I wouldn't recommend walking if it's too hot. If you call a car in the morning, you won't get stuck in traffic. Our teacher, Mee, took us to the market and even bought us local snacks to try. The cooking class was easy to understand in English, and she created a great atmosphere. Everyone really enjoyed it. This was actually my second time attending, and Mee even remembered me! She truly puts her heart into serving everyone. At the end, she also helped us call a tuk-tuk to leave. It felt safe and reliable, almost like their own fleet of vehicles. There were 5 of us, and we left with many gifts: chopsticks, a wooden spatula, a small wallet, wooden seasoning utensils, and even a certificate and recipe book. We had a wonderful morning, and everyone was very happy and satisfied.

I chose the morning session as I would love a market tour. The instructor was insightful and knowledgeable. She is well versed in English. Even the term for the dish was explained for eg What does the Tom and the Yum in the dish means. We got to savour every dish we made and even got souvenirs to bring home. I highly recommend this to anyone who wish to learn more about the Thai cuisine. You don’t need culinary experience.

Silom Thai Cooking School was one of the highlights of my Thailand trip and made my visit even more memorable. The class was very well-organized while still feeling relaxed and fun. The place was clean, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Chef Jib was amazing—so friendly, accommodating, and full of energy. She made the whole experience enjoyable and easy to follow, even for beginners. I would definitely recommend her and this class. What made it even better was that the experience didn’t end with cooking five delicious dishes. We also received a few souvenirs, which was a lovely surprise and left me feeling very happy and satisfied. Highly recommended!

This was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had in Bangkok! From start to finish, everything was so well organized and enjoyable. Our instructor, Jib, was absolutely fantastic—engaging, knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and hilarious (major bonus points for that! 😂). She made the entire class fun and interactive, and before we knew it, the time had flown by. We cooked five delicious dishes, met a wonderful group of people from different parts of the world, and learned so much about Thai cuisine, culture, ingredients, and cooking techniques. We especially appreciated that this is a Halal cooking school, which gave us extra confidence and comfort throughout the experience. The ingredients were fresh, the instructions were easy to follow, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Thank you for such a memorable experience. My mom and I absolutely loved every minute of it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok! ❤️🇹🇭

I had so much fun in this cooking class! P'Mee was hilarious and made the whole experience enjoyable and engaging. She taught us the differences between the ingredients and explained everything in a simple and easy-to-understand way. It was definitely one of the best cooking classes I've ever attended. And the Tom Yum we made was absolutely delicious it's my favorite Thai dish, so I was very happy to learn how to cook it myself. Highly recommended

Silom Thai Cooking School was probably the best cooking school I’ve ever been to. Our instructor, Mee, made the experience amazing with her energy, humor, and enthusiasm throughout the class. We cooked 5 different Thai dishes and got to eat all of them afterward, which made the experience feel like great value. Everything was well organized, the food was delicious, and the recipes felt easy enough to recreate at home. A couple small things to note: there’s a lot of chopping involved, so a quick knife safety lesson would be helpful for beginners. Also, if you’re around 6ft or taller, be mindful of your head since parts of the building have low ceilings. Overall, an incredibly fun and memorable experience in Bangkok that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Thailand.

I didn't know how to cook, but the chef who guided us really taught us every dish perfectly. He showed us a variety of spices that we've used for cooking and how they affect our cooking. It was really good and fun to do, especially with friends. I was also able to receive a certificate by the end of the cooking class. I really enjoyed it. It was an absolutely amazing experience to participate in the Thai Cooking Class. Silom is one of the organizers that holds Halal certification. All the dishes were authentic Thai cuisine, taught by experienced instructors. Throughout the class, there was great interaction and fun between the instructors and participants, and the 3 hours flew by. After we finished cooking, we were able to taste everything right away.

Mee is THE BEST cooking instructor! We unfortunately ran a couple minutes late and the staff was so understanding. The space is so charming, like you're stepping into someone's home. They taught us how to make Tom Yum soup, green curry, pad Thai, papaya salad, and mango sticky rice is record time. I love how we are taught about each ingredient. Mee spoke perfect English and had jokes for days! I really appreciated how jovial and lively she was, learning about where we were from, while teaching a full class. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!
