Best event I had in Thailand. About 3 hrs session and u are taught on how to cook for 4 dishes. you’ll have your lunch there as well. the chef is friendly, knowledgeable, and comedic. the session was engaging and rewarding. Will definitely come again in the near future.
Tried this the day after arriving in BKK. From a savory Tom Yum, Pad Thai and Green curry chicken into sweet mouth watering mango sticky rice - This is definitely a must try if you want to experience and taste authentic Thailand cuisines.
Siam Cookery House cooking class, the only activity we signed up for during our first overseas trip with my son, was the best time ever. The local market tour and tuk-tuk experience...it was interesting to experience Thailand more deeply, as if clearing game stages while directly experiencing Thailand's representative dishes. And the kind and funny teacher, NAM's, unique explanation was with us throughout the trip. lol. Lizzie? The couple who took the class with us were kind, beautiful, and handsome, and they were considerate of us, making it an even more enjoyable time! The best class that made us want to visit Bangkok again!! Thank you♡
This was the highlight of my 10-days trip to BKK! i highly recommend this tour/cooking class from market to table! you will appreciate and love Thai food even more! thanks so much to Chef Jing (sorry if i mis pronounce misspell your name). it was a wonderful experience I will never forget. would love to bring my family back and take this tour again. thank you! experience:the best! 1000% 1million star location:easy to find safety:100% instructor:1million stars!super knowledgeable, accomodating, speaks good english, very patient with us.
This spontaneous booking turned out to be an unforgettable experience. In short, the process is: meet the instructor at MRT HUAIKWANG Exit 1 in the morning. After everyone arrives, you’ll each receive a small shopping basket and a bottle of water, then walk to the market to buy ingredients. The instructor will introduce interesting ingredients along the way, then you’ll take a tuk-tuk to the cooking class location. The house is exquisitely decorated with a classic charm, reflecting the Thai tradition of cleanliness. The instructor, Nin, is patient and humorous, with a good knowledge of various languages and cultures. Many ingredients are already prepared for the students, so the hands-on part isn't difficult. There were five of us in total, including a Filipino couple and a Korean couple. We cooked and ate each dish as we made it, and the instructor helped us take turns taking photos. To be honest, I used to work in Thailand and have eaten all kinds of local dishes, but I wanted to figure out what ingredients created certain flavors. I learned a lot this time, and after understanding the principles, I feel like the food tasted even better. For example, I never used to drink the Tom Yum soup, but this time I finished it all. Plus, we made Pad Thai, Massaman Curry Chicken with Rice, and Mango Sticky Rice, so I was very full. I’m glad I didn’t eat breakfast. Of course, you can also pack up any leftovers to take home. Overall, it was a worthwhile trip, and I highly recommend it!
Ning is our help for this experience. She’s so bubbly and jolly. I love her personality and the way she organised and helped us. She explained well and gave us more information about Thai culture and Thai food. It was really a great experience! Most recommended thing to do in land of smiles.
Siamese Cooking School was hands-down one of the best experiences in Bangkok! The class was fun, interactive, and easy to follow—even for beginners. We made classic Thai dishes that turned out restaurant-worthy, using super fresh ingredients. The space was clean and beautifully set up, and the instructor was both warm and knowledgeable. A must-do for food lovers!
Loved this activity! I don’t really cook but this was easy to manage even for me. Our instructor, Ning, was personable and always made an effort to make us understand better by connecting it to our countries (I’m from Ph, the other guests were from HK). The food was yummy and had the right portions. Overall a great experience!
The entire experience was so wonderful! Although it is a bit priced compared to other cooking class in Bangkok, I chose this class based off good reviews & recommendations and it did not disappoint! The structure of the class was just right as well. We had a morning tour around the local market and a free tuktuk ride to the school. In the cooking class, we chop, cook, eat, and repeat! After every meal cooked, we will eat it right away (which is so smart because we were hungry ahaha) My family of 5 had such a great time with Chef Goong, she made it such a lively experience and conducted the session at my family’s pace. It felt like a private tour! Definitely the perfect family bonding activity. 10/10 will recommend everyone to join Siamese Cookery especially if you are going as a big group :)
This was a cooking class that I, a clumsy cook, participated in with my husband. Of course, 70% of the class involved preparing the ingredients and cooking tools, but it was a perfect class from the market tour to cooking and tasting, and the cute teacher, who was fluent in English and Thai (Korean), made the class fun and witty, which I remember very much. You can spend a very fun half day, including the satisfaction of completing four dishes. I recommend the 9 o'clock time so that you can go to the morning market. It passes the time well, but you can spend the day meaningfully.
