Reviews
10/10 experience would absolutely recommend. We did the calligraphy & tea ceremony and it was even better than expected. The entire session is held in a traditional Kyoto style teahouse (very small ceilings duck your head lol) and our host, Mao, was amazing. She took her time with teaching us calligraphy and paid extra attention to making sure that our names were correct which i appreciated. She was also very good with my very tired daughter. The tea ceremony was also an amazing experience as our host is dedicated to the craft. She explained everything in great detail. They are both great at english as well. 10/10 highly recommended
YORIMICHI YA truly moved us. The staff's kindness, warmth, and professionalism were exceptional. They allowed us to experience a moment of true Japanese tradition, starting with a Japanese calligraphy lesson, followed by a guided tour of a traditional house, and then a tea ceremony complete with an audiovisual presentation on the history of matcha. It was an immersive and engaging experience. I was truly happy and grateful to have chosen this experience.
This was a great experience with tea ceremony and calligraphy in haori. Our hosts are very sweet and knowledgeable. Highly recommend 🍵🖋️
We enjoyed our tea ceremony experience. It was educational learning the history of the 150 year old house in which the tea ceremony was held, as well as the history of tea ceremonies in Japanese culture. We enjoyed the ability to take in this calming experience.
The calligraphy was fun to do; it was her very first time, and it went well. Afterward, we had a tea ceremony where you receive matcha tea with a sweet snack made of sugar that resembles a flower. So, if you (like us) don't like matcha, don't book this. An hour was reserved for the ceremony, but it was over within half an hour. The people were very kind, but it was definitely not worth €220.
Super experience, the people who welcomed us were lovely, especially Masako during her incredible tea ceremony. I highly recommend it.
I absolutely loved the session. I highly recommend!
