What to expect
HOEK's Slow Stroke Therapy 'SEOYE' class is a private Korean calligraphy experience in Seoul, designed for those who want a deeply personal connection to traditional art.
The program begins with dressing in traditional hanbok and enjoying refreshments. You will then dive hands-on into the art of brush writing from the very first stroke of Hangul, learning its philosophy, structure, and the meditative rhythm that connects you to the page. Guided start-to-finish by an expert, you will write a meaningful word or phrase directly onto traditional hanji paper.
Sessions are limited to a maximum of 10 guests to ensure a personal, relaxed pace. The finished scroll is stamped with HOEK's seal and your fingerprint.
Good to know
- The instructor will take memorable photos of you during the session. At the end of the class, your artwork will be beautifully wrapped in a traditional Korean cloth (Bojagi), making it a perfect gift!
- Our workshop is located within walking distance of Namdaemun Market and Myeongdong. We highly recommend tasting vibrant street food at Namdaemun Market or enjoying shopping in Myeongdong before or after your class to fully maximize your day!

it is a beautiful and unique experience. The studio is so clean and spotless. The host DK and Yunha were so gracious and so much fun. You will feel the traditional way of writing and calligraphy during the Joseon dynasty , quite a nostagic way of looking at the past especially since we love period pieces of kdrama. highly recommended.
