Reviews
We had a fabulously fun time designing our scarves! Takashi Aoki, Yoko, and our main instructor (I sadly lost the business card with her name) were so very helpful and kind. We were greeted with a personalized sign board at the entrance of their establishment. I felt that this was so thoughtful and hospitable. We picked what size color of scarf we wanted as well as the contrasting color for our designs. With helpful instruction, we created our designs using the contrasting color paper and natural dried plant materials. They have many scarves to look at for inspiration but I think we would have to practice much more to create the beautiful patterns they show. We each have our scarf souvenirs to remember this special day. I could only wish that we would have a similar type of class in Hawaii so we could practice and create more. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience and for the patience and kindness you all showed. I would highly recommend this workshop to all that are interested in this type of class.
A pretty sign welcoming me was just the beginning of a great experience. There was a language barrier, but that was compensated with a warm and gentle explanation using body language and facial expression by the lady who helped me. Her kindness reminded me of my late grandmother 🥰 I enjoyed it so much that I stayed an hour extra to make another scarf that I'm gifting to my mother.
definitely recommend! it was an amazing experience and a great souvenir…Mr Aoki was really kind and welcoming!
An amazing and truly unique experience learning a beautiful art. We spent a few hours dyeing two scarves and enjoyed every minute. The instructors were great and we had no issues with any language barriers. We felt welcomed from the start and found the experience very relaxing and enjoyable - would definitely go again!
This class is so much fun. The finished scarf looks very expensive but it is very easy to make. The instructors walked us through each step. The owner and main instructor speak very good English. Most of the techniques can be learned by watching. They will be offering other classes next year. When we are in Tokyo again we will look forward to taking another class.
wonderful way to learn a new craft and be guided by a group of friendly ladies who are passionate about their hobby
The instructors are friendly and teach attentively, it is a very interesting experience, and the finished products are ready for immediate use👍👍👍
