- Firing will be done within the next 24 hours of your experience, so you can take it home the next day (please make sure your schedule allows for next-day pickup).
What to expect
Discover traditional Japanese pottery painting at a historic Kyoto workshop. In this 1–1.5 hr hands-on experience, choose a ceramic piece such as a matcha bowl or plate & create your own design inspired by displayed pottery or your imagination. Your finished piece is fired and ready for pickup 24hrs later as a functional keepsake.
PICKUP INFO: The shop is closed on Wednesdays and the third Thursday of each month. Please plan your pickup on an open day.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: • After use, wash with a mild kitchen detergent using a soft sponge. • Avoid prolonged use in the microwave. • Do not use over direct flame, in an oven, or in a dishwasher. • In some cases, if the paint has been applied too thickly, it may peel off.
