Teshima

Located halfway between Naoshima and Shodoshima, Teshima is surrounded by lush forests on Mt. Danyama, which stands in the center of the island, and abundant spring water irrigates the rice terraces. In the past, rice cultivation was so thriving that the island was self-sufficient and shipped outside the island. It was also known as the "milk island" because of its flourishing dairy farming, and is also called the "welfare island" because advanced welfare facilities were built there shortly after the war.

Inujima

Inujima is the only inhabited island of the Inujima archipelago, which consists of six islands. One of the islands, Inujima, has a huge rock resembling the shape of a crouched dog, called "Inuishi-sama," from which the name Inujima comes. There are beaches and "Nature House" on the island, so you can enjoy the island's unique nature throughout the four seasons. Lunch Wednesday Teshima Factory Teshima Factory is a cafe and restaurant with a beer brewery and a food lab that processes ingredients from Teshima.

Friday Shima Kitchen Shima Kitchen is a meeting place that connects people through “food and art”, designed and renovated by architect Ryo Abe for the Setouchi Triennale 2010. The vegetables and seafood are from Teshima and Kagawa Prefecture, and seasonal ingredients are used.
