Hwacheon Sancheonfish Ice Festival & Eobi Ice Valley Tour from Seoul

Our family had a wonderful time on the Hwacheon Sancheonfish Ice Festival and Eobi Ice Valley Tour from Seoul. The entire trip was well organized and enjoyable for all ages. The festival was magical, especially the ice fishing, which the kids absolutely loved. There were also fun ice activities and plenty of food stalls serving tasty Korean winter treats. Our tour guide, Jessie, truly made the experience special. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive, sharing fun facts and making sure we didn’t miss any highlights. Her warmth and patience made the tour feel personal and relaxed. The Eobi Ice Valley was breathtaking, with beautiful frozen scenery perfect for photos. Jessie guided us to the best spots and kept a comfortable pace for our children. This tour is a fantastic family-friendly winter experience, and Jessie made it unforgettable. Highly recommended!

The ice festival was so fun! We caught two fishes, went for snow sled, ate grilled fish, visited the illumination plaza (like a mini Harbin) and Eobi valley. The itinerary was well planned and we got to sleep a lot during the commute. Jessie was an amazing billingual guide who took photos for us and was patient in managing our problems. I lost my ticket during the trip and Jessie helped me resolved the issue. One of our guide mates injured herself and Jessie was there to help her too. Highly recommended but do come prepared with lots of energy to play in the cold (-15 degrees in January)

Branden is a kind, friendly, and very helpful guide. He always helped us take photos and gave clear, interesting explanations at every scenic spot. We truly enjoyed the ice fishing experience—it was fun and memorable, and the BBQ fish was very fresh and delicious.

this trip definitely worth the 5 stars, no less. The ice fishing (managed to fish 3😎), the sledding, the eobi ice valley and other extra trips (that is not mentioned) made the trip more worthwhile than expected. Service provided by Mac (tour guide) is next level. humble and friendly lad

never been ice fishing before so decided to take a tour. it was a very interesting and fun experience. The tour guide Michael did well with showing us around. he preached punctuality throughout the tour to make sure that we were at each destination and had time to see a bit of everything.

Michael was very knowledgeable, patient, funny, and approachable. Good singer! The fishing was a lot of fun. My favorite was being able to see the fish thru the ice hole because the water was so clear! The grilled fish and food was also delicious! The ice sculpture park was amazing to see. The ice blocks were so clear an built up into fun structures. Cloud cafe and Baby llamas were so cute. The sheep and goats in the enclosures did look really sad though. The sheep and goats that were in the pasture looked more happy. The meerkats also looked too cold. Pastries and coffee at the cafe were delicious!

First time going for the ice fishing festival and it was fun and had a good experience. Took some time to finally catch a fish, then we had grilled fish, went for tube ice sledding, also tried the traditional sled which was not easy to move around but interesting experience. Ice world was indoors but very beautiful and there was a fun slide made of ice! Guide Michael was funny and very friendly, helping us to take pictures and ensuring we have a smooth experience throughout. he is fluent in both Mandarin & English as well hence communication is good. Thank you!!

I originally wanted to take the bus myself, but I found it was more expensive than going with a local tour. The whole itinerary included ice fishing, ice skating, and sledding. It also included a 5,000 won voucher, which I used for purchases on-site. After ice fishing, the fish were handed back to the staff, and then at the designated time, we went to eat grilled fish. In the afternoon, we went to the Snow Park, where there's an ice slide that you absolutely have to try, although it's quite crowded. Finally, we went to Eobi, where the beautiful scenery doesn't disappoint. The guide, Ailee, speaks three languages and even advised us to avoid the morning crowds and try the ice slide first.

From the very start, Michael was extremely punctual, which gave us confidence that the day would be well organized, and he did not disappoint. He was friendly, approachable, and made everyone feel comfortable right away. The journey to Hwacheon was smooth, and Michael clearly explained the schedule and what to expect at each stop. At the ice festival, he guided us through ice fishing, sledding, and the ice slide, making sure we had enough time to enjoy each activity without feeling rushed. His instructions were clear and helpful, especially for first-timers. The second stop at the ice sculptures was beautiful, and Michael allowed plenty of time for photos while sharing interesting details. The final stop to see the alpacas was a relaxing and memorable way to end the tour. Overall, Michael’s friendly attitude, punctuality, and excellent time management made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommended.

Zoey was an amazing tour guide! She really went the extra mile to make sure everyone understood the instructions. Super friendly and easy to approach. The Klook tour was absolutely worth it—we had so much fun at Sancheon, and the fish was superb! 🐟✨
