What to expect
Hakuba Village is located in the Northern Japan Alps in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, and is famous for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. There are 10 ski resorts of various sizes here, collectively known as "Hakuba Valley." It is characterized by excellent snow quality (dry powder snow), large vertical drops, and diverse slopes, making it suitable for beginners, advanced skiers, and extreme sports enthusiasts alike.
The ski resorts in Hakuba are not far from each other and can be reached by shuttle bus, so many tourists choose to "stay in one place and ski at multiple resorts" to experience different terrains and scenery.
"Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort" Features: Known for its wide, gentle slopes, it is the most suitable ski resort in the Hakuba area for beginners and families. The longest slope distance is 5000m, and there are a variety of slope routes.
"Hakuba Cortina Ski Resort" boasts 100% natural powder snow of the highest quality. The soft and fluffy snow has the characteristic of not easily wetting the body even when you fall. The popularity here is also due to the availability of 16 types of slopes with varying gradients.
"Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field" Features: Known for its "spectacular view"! The 360-degree view from the summit overlooks Hakuba Village and the Northern Alps. Although the number of ski runs is not the highest, the viewing value is extremely high. At the summit, there is the famous "Hakuba Mountain Harbor" summit cafe, with a glass viewing platform paired with coffee, which is very eye-catching.

Reviews
everything was all good. instructor was really patience with us. the only cons was they require Wechat to chat with them but less than 12hrs before the booking, nobody contact us. we have to wechat them to ask them about more details
I recently took a snowboarding lesson and it was an amazing experience! The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, making sure everyone felt comfortable on the slopes. Starting with the basics, we learned how to strap on our boards and maintain balance. The drills were fun, gradually increasing in difficulty, which built our confidence. I appreciated the emphasis on safety and proper technique. The small class size allowed for personalized attention. By the end of the lesson, I was able to navigate beginner runs with more ease than I expected. I highly recommend this lesson to anyone looking to learn snowboarding!
Coach Taro is both patient and caring, and her technique is also great. I would like to thank her for teaching my son how to snowboard and for coaching me on my double board skills. Thanks
Aaron was really helpful and patient with us - we had 0 experience, and he guided us from the basics until we were able to do it independently.
