Lovely day! Thank you to Spencer for being such an awesome guide. I had a really good time at the market and in the cooking class. Every dish was sooo delicious, and the host prepared everything for us, including cleaning up and preparing the ingredients. Overall, I had a great time and will come back soon haha.
Location was easy to find through maps. We went to this cooking class with our Vietnamese lola (grandmother). They had all the right equipment and ingredients for the 4 dishes. The instructor would not only explain how to cook but also a bit of history or origin of the dishes. We enjoyed cooking and eating what we made.
I had so much fun in our class earlier today (May 22). I thoughtlessly went into the kitchen 😅 even though the meeting place was actually in Ben Than Market. Spencer was nice to be with as we were walking going there. I also met lots of cookmates in this class. Shoutout to John who I jived in right away. All the food were filling but not to the point where you become bloated. They were delicious and are easy to recreate at home. Thank you M.O.M. for this unforgettable experience & for the certificate ✨️ instructor: Spencer (such a darling)
this was the highlight of our trip in HCMC! Spencer was a great instructor. My food allergies were noted and I was given different ingredients, but it didn’t make me feel excluded at all. food was great, location was near everything, it wasn’t hard to find or navigate. overall an amazing experience.
Amazing experience... going to the market with Chef Helenand her assistant at first and buying the fresh ingredients for the recipes.. back to M.O.M studio and we have learned to cook 4 vietnames recipes ..
I booked the day of (2am) and didn't get messaged via WhatsApp so I thought they missed my booking. They arrived on the dot (8:35am) and we were relieved to be included in. Great instructor, very interactive class, and amazing dishes. They have a rotating menu depending on the day so choose wisely. Very accommodating to my sister with shellfish allergy.
cooking class was very fun and engaging, we enjoyed listening to our teacher explain more about the ingredients and how to cook! he was humourous as well haha. very patient instructor and would definitely recommend this activity! food was really nice too.
The Class started with having a tour at the market with the owner explaining to us about the purpose of the raw ingrediants and the use of it in vietnamese cooking and culture. His explanation is very clear and well understood. Next we did a short walk to the cooking studio and the studio is just gorgeous and clean. The cooking lesson is simple and can easily do at home, as if. The session is not too long and not too short for an introvert like me. Overall good experience. would recommend for couple or groups.
The Vietnam cooking class with a market tour was an amazing and immersive experience. The market visit was very informative, where we learned about local ingredients, herbs, and how Vietnamese people shop and cook daily. The cooking class itself was hands-on and well organised, with clear instructions and a relaxed atmosphere. We cooked several authentic Vietnamese dishes and enjoyed the meal we prepared together. It was a fun, educational, and delicious experience.
Absolutely, José! Here’s a nice draft for your review: ⸻ I recently took a cooking class here in Saigon, and it was an absolutely excellent experience. I had a really great time from start to finish. The class was super well-organized, with clear instructions that made it easy to follow along. The setup was perfect for learning, and everything was arranged so that we could really focus on the cooking. As for the food, it turned out to be incredibly authentic and delicious. I left feeling like I’d learned a lot and had a really fun time. I’d definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a hands-on, enjoyable cooking experience in Saigon! ⸻ Feel free to tweak it if you want to add anything personal!
