Met with our awesome guide Johny the next day (I booked 2 separate day trips) for Zao frost covered trees. We got to take the faster line for the ropeway so we were only waiting for 20-30 minutes while others were 60-70 mins. unfortunately we had more snow so visibility was low but it was still beautiful. With the heavy snow fall the journey back was slightly delayed but nothing major. Johny and our driver were amazing.

The pickup was a bit confusing as there were a few buses and no sign. The guide arrived later than most of us. However, we were lucky to have considerably punctual group. Ittn was ok. The hotel we stayed at was not bad (+ point with the in room massage available).

Great day tour from Sendai Station. The bus was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had WiFi plus a tray for drinks and snacks. Driver and guide were punctual and professional.
Our guide, Sanichi, really stood out. He speaks good English, is knowledgeable, and shared useful tips throughout the day. He also told us the inspiring story of Hamaguchi Goryo and the “Fire of Rice Sheaves,” with light jokes along the way that made the tour feel relaxed and welcoming. He helped take photos and gave great recommendations on what to see and eat.
Zao Fox Village was fun and unique, with foxes up close. Feeding or hugging costs extra, and the guide helped with translation. Lunch was a simple but tasty noodle and tempura set.
Ginzan Onsen was crowded and rainy, but well managed with clear instructions. Still worth visiting, as it’s very hard to reach by public transport. Overall, a fantastic day trip—the guide’s passion made all the difference.

It was a bit of a shame that the visit to the Fox Village didn't coincide with the fox-holding time, but it was still worth a visit. There are only two restaurants in Ginzan, and the prices are slightly expensive, but the taste is average and you have to queue, which directly affects the time spent sightseeing in Ginzan. It was snowing heavily when we visited, which was a bit chaotic, but the environment was even more beautiful. The pick-up and drop-off was in a 9-seater van, so it didn't feel crowded, and the driver took us to the station on the return trip as a bonus, which was great service.

Very enjoyable trip despite the unfavorable weather. The rope way to Zao mountain was closed due to the weather condition. Ginzan Onsen was very lovely as well.

A very good two-day, one-night trip! We visited many places! The arrival time at Ginzan Onsen on this trip is after 4 PM! This allows you to see the illuminated scenery at night. These are all suburban places that I really wanted to go to. It's difficult to get to if you're not on a self-driving tour, but now everything can be arranged, tickets are bought, time is calculated, and each place is reached point-to-point. The price is really reasonable! Also, the tour guide for this trip - Zoe/Xiao Wang is really excellent! First of all, her language skills are very high. Her Cantonese, Mandarin and English abilities are all very high! Very fluent and clear! Many times in the past I had to guess what the tour guides were saying 😂 but Zoe was very clear and easy to listen to! In addition, the schedule was arranged very well! We are very satisfied! She knows what the guests' needs are and what the characteristics of the scenic spots are! It allowed us to see the sunset and night view of Ginzan Onsen! This is very rare! She is really friendly and enthusiastic! During the trip, she often took the initiative to take photos for us, so that we could have group photos as souvenirs! She also handled many problems, big and small! Please see the trip, which made us very happy and also very reassured! Thank you very much, Zoe!

Driver Xiao Lu drives very steadily and is punctual! Although we didn't depart until 09:07 because a member of the group couldn't find the way, we still arrived at Zao Fox Village on time. We arrived at Ginzan Onsen at 12:45, earlier than the scheduled time of 13:30, giving us plenty of time to shop and soak our feet. There were also very few tourists at this time on Monday, allowing us to take many beautiful photos. On the return trip, we even arrived back at Sendai Station an hour early, which was great!! However, many shops and restaurants in Ginzan Onsen were already closed, and the number of tourists increased when they opened at 15:00. We strolled around until 16:45, just in time to see the scenery of Ginzan Onsen at dusk (it starts to get dark at 16:00 in winter), which was very beautiful! Because there were only a few people in the group, we were transported in a small van, which allowed us to get off at the nearest parking lot to Ginzan Onsen, without having to take a shuttle bus or walk a long distance. In conclusion, the trip was great and highly recommended!!
