Takayama Castle Ruins tours

I really enjoyed the tour! Even though it was in English, our guide Sai Chan told me in Japanese where I could go! I was satisfied :) Lots of impressions and it was incredibly beautiful! I also really liked the meat sushi, it just melted in my mouth) ❤️🥰

Very informative , very friendly. Took photos of the 4 of us wherever we asked and he even came into a 7-11 we stopped into to recommend some snacks and help us at the counter! Would highly recommend. The driver was also very friendly!

Ling was our guide and he was a great guide! I had the same tour last summer but our guide wasn’t speaking at all, so Ling is exceptional. He speaks English, Japanese and Chinese. The meeting place was easy to locate, we were given ample time to go around the area and Ling gave us recommendations where to eat and where to go. It was a nice tour in total!

Visited just yesterday, it was wonderful and magical with snow covered the entire place. it's cold but the place itself makes me feel warms thru its beauty. Plan to visit again on different season, fall perhaps.

Everything is excellent for this trip! Hotel equipped with 2 onsens. Dinner & breakfast at the hotel is delicious. Transport is well-maintained. Guide is patient and explains well on the itinerary. We are able to replace beef meals with other options.

Shirakawago was absolutely beautiful, especially with the village covered in snow. The Hida no Gassho illumination was equally stunning & magical. The journey itself was quite long, taking about 4 hours each way, with toilet breaks along the route. Sufficient time was given at each location to explore. Dinner was beef shabu-shabu. The hotel stay was pleasant & comfortable, & having private hot spring rooms was a big plus. The tour was conducted entirely in Japanese. We were the only English-speaking family, & although audio support was indicated during booking, it wasnt provided. As a result, we couldn’t fully understand the explanations during the tour. The guide tried to communicate essential information clearly, eg meeting times. Overall, the tour was not overly rushed & allowed us to enjoy the scenery at a comfortable pace. Despite the language limitation, it was still a memorable experience, especially for those who appreciate scenic views & winter landscapes.

Have a good experience for the day trip to Takayama and Shiragawaz. Tour guide, Xiao qi (Sai) is good, she will WhatsApp all the information of the places, meet up location and what to do or buy or eat at the places. it wil be better if we have more time at Takayama. 2 hrs is too short. will definely need more time.

our Guide Yoshi was very informative. the kids had a great time in the snow at the ropeway, we did not feel rushed at all. we were very happy with our day.
