Things to do in Edinburgh Castle

The arrangements were nearly perfect. Originally, we had difficulty getting entry tickets to Edinburgh Castle on their official website. While most travel agencies no longer have tickets for the day, we managed to get ours on Klook. The QR code was issued in less than a minute. The waiting place was convenient and the tour guide, Ignas, was easily identifiable. Yet, Ignas spoke with a very strong Scottish accent, which made it not always easy to follow. So, although he was very knowledgeable and helpful, the details of the description were not always fully understood. Nevertheless, the view at and from the castle was magnificent. Even though the path looked very steep and far from the city centre, it wasn’t difficult to get there. The rooms were definitely worth visiting. The souvenir shop also sold gifts that were exclusive to the castle. we also met the Queen and King James for a lovely photo. I would definitely recommend this visit.

really good tour, it’s not a tour of the castle (well a small part is) it’s a tour of the street leading to the castle with a lot of history. our tour guide xander was great! his knowledge and enthusiasm was amazing. I would definitely book this tour if you are coming to Edinburgh.

The Glencoe and Glenfinnan tour was absolutely worth the price! We had an amazing time, not only exploring the breathtaking scenery but also enjoying the journey on the coach. Our tour guide, Ash, was incredibly nice, friendly, and entertaining. We especially loved his great taste in music, which made the long drive even more enjoyable! What impressed us most was how talented Ash is—he drives the coach while giving informative and engaging commentary at the same time! He made the history and stories behind the places we visited so interesting. The stunning landscapes, great music, fascinating stories, and Ash’s wonderful personality made this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended, and if you’re lucky enough to have Ash as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic day!

Rory our guide was knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. He knew every minute detail about the Location covered are all nearby so you won't get tired at all.

This was a wonderful day tour covering Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Kelpies. The itinerary was well planned and gave us a great opportunity to experience some of Scotland’s beautiful scenery and historic landmarks in one day. Loch Lomond was absolutely beautiful, Stirling Castle was fascinating and full of history, while The Kelpies were an impressive sight. Each stop offered something different and made the day interesting from start to finish. The tour was well organised and convenient, especially for visitors who want to see several highlights without having to plan the transportation themselves. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a fantastic way to see Edinburgh’s attractions. The commentary was informative, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The live tracking through the app was mostly accurate and overall, it was a convenient way to explore the city.

The Royal Edinburgh Tour was indeed very royal. I learned so much of the history and seen so much. The Edinburgh Castle was magnificent, The Holyrood Palace was wonderful and the Royal Britannia was eye opening.

We had a fantastic time on the Alnwick Castle and Borders Day Tour from Edinburgh. The tour was well organised and offered a great mix of beautiful scenery, history and interesting places to explore. Alnwick Castle was definitely the highlight of the trip. The castle is impressive, and walking around the grounds was a memorable experience. The journey through the Scottish Borders was also enjoyable, with plenty of beautiful landscapes along the way. The tour was convenient and hassle-free, especially for travellers who want to explore beyond Edinburgh without having to arrange transportation themselves.
