Things to do in Newcastle

I absolutely loved this Hunter Valley wine tasting day tour! Although it was a bit pricey, I felt it offered a lot of value. The first stop was a winery where we tasted six different wines, including red, white, and sparkling. The second stop was for lunch, and we enjoyed various delicious pizzas, along with three types of gin. At the third stop, we sampled three kinds of cheese, paired with several red and white wines. The fourth stop was a chocolate shop, where we tried six different chocolates, each paired with a different wine. A special thank you to our tour guide and driver, Colin (I'm not sure if I spelled his name correctly), for leading us in such a comfortable manner. He gave us plenty of space to relax in the car without being overly talkative, and provided excellent guidance once we arrived at the estates. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this to my Taiwanese friends who are considering it. But be careful! You might actually get drunk. 😆

We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Hunter Valley wine tour with Newy Tour Co. Despite being the only two guests booked, Nathan made the experience feel personal, relaxed and incredibly enjoyable. He was friendly, knowledgeable and a great host throughout the day. The tour offered a perfect mix of wine tastings, spirits, food and wine pairings, finishing with a wonderful cheese and wine experience. The venues were thoughtfully selected, and every staff member we met was welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. From start to finish, the day exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our visit. We highly recommend Newy Tour Co and will definitely book again the next time we’re in Newcastle. So fun!!! The dune came with many difficulties of slopes and we were lucky that they gave us water as it was hot but windy.

Although the pickup time was early, the shuttle was easy to find, and the driver was very friendly and enthusiastic even in the early morning. After everyone had gathered, the driver informed us of the estimated return time based on the number of participants. There was a rest stop halfway through the journey where we could use the restroom. Upon arrival, staff called out names, weighed us, and confirmed if we wanted to purchase the photo and video package. Afterward, we waited in an open area for our instructor to meet us. The instructor helped us put on our gear and taught us what actions to perform. Then, our instructor recorded the entire experience for us. The weather was excellent that day, and the scenery was clearly visible. The freefall part was thrilling, and after the parachute opened, we enjoyed the local scenery from the air. Midway through, the instructor let me try controlling the parachute myself, and then we landed safely. After all participants had completed their turns, we headed back. I purchased the video and photo package, and they quickly edited the video. Overall, the experience was great and very enjoyable. I'm so glad I participated in this activity!
