I tried their scrub package and it was beyond my expectations! From start to the end, everyone was very attentive. No spot was missed! The finishing touches of the session surprised me. She realigned what’s needed and gave a quick massage too. I’m eager to try out their massages! I am definitely coming back again. Recommending this place to my family and friends too!

Located beside a busy city road, there are too many massage parlors nearby, making this one a bit hard to find. Fortunately, other shops pointed the way, and I found Mali on the 2nd floor... Massage therapist: Very professional, with appropriate strength. Service: Arrived half an hour early, and the shop was not displeased by the disruption. Facilities: Simple and basic, but has everything you need. Environment: Beautiful lighting and a great atmosphere.

Facilities: Complete, the shop is not big, but it has everything it needs. Massage Therapists: Traveled with family, both male and female massage therapists are very professional. Atmosphere: Beautiful lighting, great atmosphere. Environment: Comfortable and relaxing.

Five-star experience! Five-star trip! A perfect journey! Our tour guide, Sue, contacted us via WhatsApp the night before and was incredibly patient in answering all our questions. She also helped us take photos throughout the trip without any hesitation. Some of our group members had very high expectations for photography, and Sue was surprisingly patient in helping them get their shots. It's worth noting that our group was a combination of several smaller groups, but all the guides knew each other, so they were great at creating a lively atmosphere. One guide constantly played music through a loudspeaker, which really boosted the mood, and they even matched the theme – for example, playing Jay Chou's "Rice Field" when we were watching fireflies! Truly professional! Be aware that the local mosquitoes are very aggressive and aren't deterred by mosquito repellent, so that's something to keep in mind. The sunset there is stunning! We had plenty of time for free activities and taking photos. My first snorkeling experience was also amazing. The only downside was that some people in our group might have been afraid of water, so we had to accommodate them and couldn't visit more spots. We ended up staying at one spot for about an hour. You can rent a locker on the island for HKD $60, but you honestly don't need to; no one is going to steal your belongings on a deserted island... Watching the fireflies is an absolutely unforgettable experience! Photos can't capture the awe-inspiring sight; you'll understand once you go! P.S. The meeting time that day was 7 AM! So it was a very early start, but totally worth it.

What to know before visiting Kota Kinabalu

Quick snapshot of Kota Kinabalu and what to do

Kota Kinabalu is a compact coastal city known for tours, water activities and cultural experiences, with cruises and massages also popular. Demand on Klook shows a clear yearly rhythm, with a sharp peak in January and much lower booking levels around June.

Best times to visit and how prices move

According to Klook booking data, January is the busiest month while June sees the weakest demand. Prices typically rise toward September (Klook data shows September as the priciest month) and drift down to a low in April (typically the cheapest month on Klook). If you want smaller crowds and generally lower prices, plan for April through June; if you prefer peak-season atmosphere and more activity, visit in January when demand is highest. Note that demand and prices don’t always move together here: the busiest month is January, but the priciest month is usually September, so pick dates depending on whether atmosphere or lower cost matters more to you.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Most travellers from Hong Kong typically book around three days ahead, with a small share booking at the last minute and a minority planning further out. For short trips this makes Kota Kinabalu easy to visit spontaneously, but if you’re travelling in January or September it’s wise to lock preferred tours and water activities earlier. Use Klook to compare available dates and secure the experiences you want without overplanning.
