Things to do in Hokkaido

Saw drift ice, the drift ice looked very icy, it's a gregarious animal, it drifts around. The weather is very cold, so I suggest the drift ice boat should have heating on the deck, and it would be more suitable to come in the summer.

Oscar is a very happy go lucky tour guide. He kept us engaged and updated throughout the tour. Oscar was able to speak in 3 languages, english, japanese, and chinese. The bus was very clean and the driver drove safely and comfortably. The curry wagyu that came as a tour option was delicious. Recommend getting it! So was the milk! Overall enjoyed the experience.

This tour was absolutely worth it! We visited Ninggale Terrace, Biei Christmas Tree, Shirahige Falls, and the stunning Blue Pond at night—each stop felt magical in its own way. The highlight for me was Shikisai no Oka in winter. Snowmobiling there is a must-experience—pure adrenaline and so much fun surrounded by endless snow! Special shoutout to our tour guide Serina 🌟 She was not only kind and friendly, but also very attentive and thoughtful throughout the trip. She made sure everyone was comfortable, explained each destination clearly, and kept the atmosphere warm and enjoyable despite the cold weather. Her calm, cheerful energy really added to the overall experience and made the tour feel smooth and well-organized.

our tourguide, Sunny speaks clear english, very experienced and nice tourguide. the ningle terrace part is rushed that day but the rest of the tour is very good! try the snowmobile, thank you Sunny for being a nice tourguide

The staff enthusiastically waved goodbye as we boarded the ship. Watching the sunset from the Monbetsu icebreaker was beautiful! After the ship departs, the bow opens for passengers to walk clockwise. Staff also kindly remind people to move forward so that others can take pictures of the ice-breaking auger mechanism! Fun! Next stop was the Sounkyo Icefall Festival, which is only available seasonally! The tour guide said it's a huge project where staff spray water to freeze it, taking two months! It's really beautiful! Although it's far and we got back to the hotel late, it was worth coming to see!

convenient and well planned itinerary, especially when traveling with family or parents that have issues walking. Def would recommend our guide Eric who speaks English, Japanese and Chinese. He was very accommodating esp with my mom constantly tardy and making sure everyone was back. I would also recommend trying Hokkaido Milk, Coffee and Yogurt during the tour

Used on December 22, 2025. It was snowy and cold at Mt. Tengu that day, so wear warm clothes. There is only one ticket window, so you will need to queue and wait. After receiving your ticket, you will also need to queue to take the cable car to the top of the mountain. You can enjoy the night view in the restaurant inside, and it's very exciting to see the mountains of accumulated snow!

this observatory is at Sapporo station, very convenient to redeem using Klook. very lucky to be able to see the whole city since it was a sunny day :)
