Got ourselves a 7-day Global Pass and travelled through 5 countries. Buying the pass was easy but how to use the app for activating the pass will need some time to learn. However, fear not as there are many experienced people out willing to share. Do some readings and join some fb travel groups and you will surprised by the information available. The pass was flexible but the train schedule can be unpredictable which means you need to be updated requently to stay on course of your journey. We only experienced one hicccup on one of the trips at Berlin due to seat reservation issue and missing the connecting train due to delay of the first train. The other trips were as planned.

Easy to use, just need to activate before you take the train and scan the QR code on the gate. Britrail pass is the solution for multi-city journey, as train can change schedule anytime or gone (no more that timing). Keep checking on the hanging screen to see whether your train change platform / change timing / gone

I spent 3 days visiting Bath, Stonehenge, Winchester, Oxford, and Cambridge. You need to register the date of use before using it, and there is one QR code per day. After registration, you can use the code to enter the gate. During the trip, I encountered train delays or cancellations many times. Fortunately, I bought a pass, so I could immediately change my destination or transfer to other trains.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Although the weather was chilly, we were provided with warm bottles and blankets, which made the ride comfortable and cozy. The guide was excellent in his explanations, sharing fascinating facts about each university as we passed by. He also recommended some must-try food spots, and they turned out to be fantastic.
The ride itself was smooth, and we had plenty of time to take photos. Watching the adorable ducks in the water added to the charm. The majestic buildings were truly impressive, especially when paired with the engaging stories behind them. It’s definitely a must-do activity when in Cambridge.

The bus ride from central London to Cambridge took about 2+ hours. It was also 2+ hours from Cambridge to Oxford, and another 2+ hours for the return journey to central London, totaling 6+ hours of travel time. However, it was worth it because our guide, Apple, shared a great deal of information about the history of central London, Cambridge, and Oxford. The schedule felt a bit rushed, and it would be better if the tour was split into two days instead.

The hotel upgraded me, and the room had a balcony where I could enjoy the open view while eating breakfast. The hotel location is good, near Cambridge train station. The hotel decoration is beautiful, and the rooms are large, especially compared to hotels of a similar price where I stayed in London before. Plus, the hotel found out it was my birthday and gave me a small gift. Very satisfied.
