If you're going on a trip to Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland deserves a full day (or two) on your itinerary. Located on Lantau Island, it's one of the most compact Disney parks in the world, which means less walking and more ride time!
This guide covers 2026 ticket prices, opening hours, how to get there, and the rides and shows worth planning around. We'll also walk through World of Frozen, the park's newest land, plus the shows, fireworks, and food you shouldn't skip. Let's get into it!

How much are Hong Kong Disneyland tickets?

This is probably the question that brought you here: how much is a Hong Kong Disneyland ticket? The ticket price depends on the date you visit and the tier you pick, so it pays to check before you book.

Can you buy Hong Kong Disneyland tickets at the gate?

The park uses a reservation system, so a same-day gate ticket doesn't guarantee entry if that day's visitor quota is full.
So, the safer move is to book your Hong Kong Disneyland tickets in advance and reserve your visit date at the same time. This locks in your price and your spot, so you're not stuck rebooking or missing out during a busy season.

Best times to visit Hong Kong Disneyland

Weekdays, especially Tuesday through Thursday, are consistently your best bet for shorter queues at Hong Kong Disneyland. Weekends and Hong Kong public holidays draw local families, so lines for headliners like Frozen Ever After and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars get long fast.
For the best month to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, aim for September, May, or June, when crowds tend to thin out compared to the December and January holiday rush.
Klook Tip: Keep an eye on the weather; Hong Kong summers bring heat and the occasional typhoon signal, which can pause outdoor rides!

Hong Kong Disneyland opening hours

Hong Kong Disneyland’s opening hours vary from day to day. It’s usually open from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. On the weekends, including Friday, it's open from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm.
Take note that the park’s schedule changes daily, so be sure to check the hours and park schedule on the Disneyland website for the most updated information.

How to get to Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is located on Lantau Island. It’s near Hong Kong International Airport and is less than an hour away from the city center. You can book an airport express ticket for a hassle-free journey from the moment you step out of the airport.
Aside from the airport express, there are a few other ways you can reach Hong Kong Disneyland:

By MTR

The Disneyland Resort Line runs from Sunny Bay Station to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort multiple times daily, every few minutes. The special Disney-themed trains are a great way to begin the day! You can also go to Disneyland from Hong Kong International Airport MTR Station, MTR Kowloon Station, and MTR Hong Kong Station in just 30 minutes.

By Public Bus

Local buses can also take you to and from the resort daily. Bus fares generally cost around HK$23. Board the Long Win Bus, the Citybus, or the New Lantao Bus. Buses from Downtown Hong Kong take either Route 33 or Route 42.
Click here for more information on local bus lines. The cross-boundary bus also operates daily via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge to connect the resort to Zhuhai and Macau.

By Taxi

The taxi fare from Hong Kong International Airport to Disneyland is about HKD 100, and the ride is only 10 to 15 minutes. You can simply mention Hong Kong Disneyland to the driver without specifying its address.

By Car

If you're driving, Hong Kong Disneyland has on-site parking, though spaces can fill up on weekends and holidays. For a stress-free ride straight from your hotel or the airport, a private transfer to Hong Kong Disneyland skips the parking search entirely.

World of Frozen: Must-Do Guide

Frozen Ever After ride
Frozen Ever After ride
World of Frozen is the park's most popular land, and it's worth building your whole morning around it. Set in the kingdom of Arendelle, the land recreates Anna and Elsa's world down to the fjords and rooftops, and it's one of the best spots in the park for photos.
Head straight here at opening. Frozen Ever After, a boat ride through scenes from the movie, and Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs, a family-friendly coaster, both build long lines within the first hour. Riding them back to back at park opening, before the standby wait climbs past an hour, is the best way to save time at Hong Kong Disneyland!

Tomorrowland

A family standing in front of an Iron Man attraction
Tomorrowland houses attractions like the Iron Man Experience, Orbitron, Hyperspace Mountain, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! to name a few. Hyperspace Mountain features the drops and sharp turns that every coaster promises, but with an added twist. This ride is entirely indoors, so guests won’t know what to expect, which makes it all the more thrilling!
The Iron Man Experience is a 3-D motion simulator attraction that is one out of many Marvel-themed expansions that Disneyland has in store. Also, did we mention that this is the world’s first-ever Marvel-themed ride to make its home in Disneyland?
Explore Tony Stark’s latest inventions up close and even take the challenge of flying in an Iron Wing flight vehicle in Iron Man Experience. Also, the attraction has local influences, with guests being able to “fly” above Hong Kong’s iconic landmarks like Tsing Ma Bridge, Victoria Harbour, and more!

Adventureland

Adventureland houses the Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan’s Treehouse, and river cruises. Yes, if you haven’t already guessed, Adventureland is jungle-themed! Also, Jungle River Cruise is one of the most frequented rides in the park and is definitely a must-go, even if you aren’t into laidback rides!
The Jungle River Cruise will take you through the major rivers in the world, including Asia’s Mekong Delta, the Amazonas, and more. However, do keep a lookout for cannibals and headhunters along the way! A Disneyland cast member will also lead the journey, giving you a comical and entertaining narration throughout.

Grizzly Gulch

People on a ride
Also referred to as Hong Kong Disneyland’s version of Frontierland, Grizzly Gulch features a wild west concept, complete with 19th-century-style architecture, mining mountains, golden nuggets, and even a town jail!
Guests will also be greeted with their favorite Disney characters dressed in old, wild, western-style costumes that stay true to the theme. Notable attractions in the land include the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, where guests can hop on and twist and turn around the Grizzly Mountain, with surprises awaiting them along the way.

Mystic Point

Mystic Point opened its doors in 2013 and features rides and attractions that reflect Disney’s spookier side, including the Mystic Manor, Hong Kong Disneyland’s version of the Haunted Mansion.
The Mystic Manor will take you through your favorite Disney stories with state-of-the-art special effects, offering a perfect blend of old and new jumpscares, setting itself apart from the Haunted Mansions in other Disneylands around the world.
Mystic Point is also home to one of the best restaurants in the park: Explorer’s Club Restaurant, where guests can find a wide range of Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian food, including Hainanese chicken rice. The best part? All of the food here is certified Halal!

Toy Story Land

A slinky dog ride at Toy Story Land
With bright colors, familiar characters, and re-enactments to the movie, Toy Story Land easily welcomes guests to a nostalgic adventure. The best ride here would have to be the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, of course!
Offering vast views of the park and beyond, the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop isn’t the most thrilling, but it’s definitely one of the best laidback rides in the park. You will be told to leave your belongings in a locker, but if you have your GoPro or a strapped-on mobile phone, be sure to capture the views right before the parachute drops!

Fantasyland

Housing some of the earliest, most iconic characters of Disney, Fantasyland is easily the go-to for the nostalgic Disney experience. No kidding, with Dumbo, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and of course, Mickey and Minnie, nothing else can define Disney better than this!
For those wanting to say hello and take photos with the characters, head to Fantasy Gardens, where character meet and greets take place. There will also be a professional photographer onsite to help take photos for you!
Fantasyland is also home to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where kids can get a full Disney princess makeover complete with hair, makeup, and a costume. It's a popular add-on for families visiting with younger children, so book ahead if it's on your must-do list.

Main Street, USA

With architecture that resembles 20th century USA, this area has a similar concept to the original Main Street in Orlando. The ones here, however, feature local influences with souvenir shops selling local favorites like Tsum Tsum characters and local restaurants.
Character greetings are mostly held in the center of the zone. Do note that because this is the entrance of the park, crowds are highly expected here!

Hong Kong Disneyland Shows & Parades to Watch

Hong Kong Disneyland also puts on a number of other impressive shows throughout the day that highlight your favorite Disney stories and characters!

Mickey & Friends Street Celebration

Look out for this awesome parade around Main Street Express! Wave ‘hi’ to Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and all of their friends with fun costumes, decorations, music, and dancing. The Mickey & Friends Street Celebration usually runs twice a day at 12:30 pm and at 3:30 pm.

Festival of the Lion King

The Festival of the Lion King theatrical show is a 30-minute performance filled with great songs and impressive acrobatic dances. Seats are on a first-come-first-serve basis, so do arrive early to avoid long queues! They hold three shows a day at 2:30 pm, 5:00 pm, and at 6:30 pm.

Moana: A Homecoming Celebration

Disneyland Hong Kong is always putting on new shows at the park, like the all-new Moana: A Homecoming Celebration. Filled with music, dancing, puppetry, and storytelling of Moana’s adventures to the heart of Te Fiti, the little ones will love this water-ful show. Catch one of their shows throughout the day at 11:45 am, 1:05 pm, 3:45 pm, or at 5:15 pm.

“Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular

Want to end your Disney trip on a high note? Then stick around for a few more hours at the park. Great for couples, families, and friend groups, the “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular definitely lives up to its name.
The light show of music and stories features 3D projections of 150 Disney and Pixar characters with lasers, choreographed fountains, and dazzling fireworks! The show starts at around 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm, depending on the day, but saving a seat early by Main Street U.S.A. will help ensure a good view!

This cinnamon-sugar-covered snack is a classic among all Disneyland locations. If you want to know what to eat at Hong Kong Disneyland, you have to start with the long Churros at Jessie’s Snack Roundup in Toy Story Land!

Waffles

Mickey Mouse waffle
There is endless Mickey-shaped food at Disney, from popsicles to donuts and more. The character-shaped waffles are one of the best, and they come with various toppings, like whipped cream, fruits, and syrups! Snap a pic of the cute creations from Small World Ice Cream.

Create-your-own cookie dessert

The Ink & Plate dinner buffet is known for its "create your own cookie" station, where you draw on your dessert with edible sauces before it's baked. Pair it with the international buffet spread for a relaxed sit-down meal in a stylish setting near Main Street!

Turkey Leg

Another must-eat snack at any Disneyland Park is the juicy, perfectly cooked turkey leg that’s as big as your hand! Not only is it delicious, it’s easy to eat as you walk around the park. You can easily find it at a snack cart around Adventureland.

The Enchanted Garden Restaurant dinner buffet is known for its Mickey-shaped waffles, along with a mix of Hong Kong, Asian, and Western dishes served in a Victorian garden setting.
Disney characters also stop by tables throughout the meal, so it's a good option if you've got kids who want photos with their favorites without waiting in a meet-and-greet line!
If you'd rather keep things flexible, dining offers at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort let you use meal vouchers across several restaurants in the park, so you're not locked into one sit-down reservation.

FAQs About Hong Kong Disneyland

What is the best month to visit Hong Kong Disneyland?
September, May, and June are usually quieter months at Hong Kong Disneyland, with shorter queues and more comfortable crowd levels than the December and January holiday season.
Weather-wise, September can still bring the occasional typhoon signal, so keep an eye on the forecast if you're traveling then. Weekdays within these months tend to offer the calmest overall experience.

What makes Hong Kong Disneyland special?

Hong Kong Disneyland offers everything people love about Disney parks, but at a size that's easy to cover in a day or two. World of Frozen is currently one of the most detailed Frozen-themed lands anywhere in the world, and Adventureland here is actually the largest version found at any Disney park.

Is Disneyland in Hong Kong worth it?

For most travelers passing through Hong Kong, yes. The park is compact enough that you can hit the major rides and shows in a single day without a rigid schedule, and ticket prices are generally lower than at Tokyo or the US parks.
If you're a Disney fan or traveling with kids, it's an easy add-on to a Hong Kong trip.

Is 1 day enough for HK Disneyland?

One day is enough to cover the highlights if you arrive at opening and prioritize World of Frozen first. You likely won't hit every single ride, especially with long waits at Frozen Ever After, but a well-planned day can cover most major attractions, a show, and the nighttime fireworks.
If you want a more relaxed pace or plan on character dining, a 2-day ticket gives you more breathing room.

Which is better, Japan or Hong Kong Disneyland?

It depends on what you're after. Tokyo Disney Resort has two parks and a wider range of attractions, while Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller, easier to navigate, and typically less crowded.
If you're short on time or want a lower-key Disney day as part of a bigger Hong Kong trip, Hong Kong Disneyland is a great pick. If Disney is the main event of your trip, Tokyo offers more to explore.
