This summer, I‑O‑N Kwun Tong teams up once again with the Royal Thai Consulate‑General in Hong Kong for the limited‑time “Summer Thai Delights” weekend semi‑buffet lunch capturing the energetic spirit of a bustling local Thai food market which is available from 2 July to 30 September 2026. Authentic Thai flavours are artfully blended with Western culinary techniques, delivering a feast that surprises and delights at every turn – the perfect way to elevate your leisurely weekend afternoons.
Your dining journey begins at our extravagant buffet spread, which offers an ever‑changing selection of fresh salads, artisan cheeses and premium cold cuts, alongside a tempting array of chilled seafood and Japanese sashimi. To satisfy your sweet tooth, the buffet also features a rotating dessert station with tropical treats such as Pineapple Coconut Mousse, Traditional Coconut Sago Cake and Chilled Ruam Mit, plus unlimited Häagen‑Dazs ice cream – an indulgence that keeps on giving.
For the centrepiece of your meal, choose from three remarkable main courses, each crafted with a Thai‑Western twist: the Giant Tiger Prawn Coconut Curry Spaghetti, where succulent prawns meet a rich, aromatic curry sauce; the Slow‑Braised Lamb Shank in Yellow Curry, fall‑off‑the‑bone tender and deeply spiced; and the Grilled Australian Angus Ribeye with a savoury Thai Anchovy Béarnaise, where smoky char meets a uniquely salty kick.

The buffet station offers vibrant salads and Thai soups to start, while the main course highlights include Giant Tiger Prawn Coconut Curry Spaghetti, where succulent prawns meet a rich, aromatic sauce; Slow‑Braised Lamb Shank in Yellow Curry, fall‑off‑the‑bone tender; and Grilled Australian Angus Ribeye with a savoury Thai Anchovy Béarnaise. Dinner guests enjoy two extra stars: Lime‑steamed Seabass and Crispy Salted Fish‑Crusted Lamb Rack. The dinner‑only street‑food live cooking station rotates Classic Boat Noodles and Fresh Fruit with Chilli Sugar – a sweet‑heat thrill that transports you to Bangkok’s night markets. Although hot dishs are not provided, the chilled seafoods, salads and cold cuts both make my taste buds smile. The main course of Lobster Wellington is unforgotten delicious.
Although there are not many types of food in the restaurant, the overall food quality is quite good. Since it is a semi-buffet, each person will have a main course, and there are many types to choose from. We are a family of four, and we happen to have a discount for four people. Discount, and if you have 4 people, you can choose the "Kabaki Steak" as the main course. It is really attractive. The portion of steak is generous. The restaurant staff also carefully helped cut the steak. They are very attentive and considerate, making this a wonderful meal. Experience it, I will recommend it to my friends to give it a try😋😋
This year, my family and I had a semi-buffet lunch at ION on Holy Christmas Day. There were many choices for the main course. We ordered the pan-fried Wagyu sirloin steak with chocolate sauce. It tasted good. In addition to the main course, the buffet area also had long-legged crabs, seafood, Yusheng, desserts... In addition, there are gifts sent by the Holy Mother of God and balloons held by the clown sister, which is very festive!
The semi-buffet lunch offers a wide variety of appetizers, including salmon sashimi, fresh fruit, and H brand ice cream. The main courses are slightly less impressive, but the steak is delicious and worth a try. High value for money!
Not bad, good environment, good service. In addition to the main course, you can also pick up the appetizer yourself. The choices are not super many, but they are all of good quality. At only about 300 dollars, it is very worthwhile. I will consider coming again.
There are quite a lot of food choices! But there are few drink options. The fresh sashimi, cold cuts, salads, desserts, and soups are all good, and the main dishes are generous in portions, but the presentation can be improved! How about adding more side dishes!
The location is a bit inconvenient, but in exchange for a relatively spacious environment; the semi-buffet style selection is not sloppy, and the style and taste are very good. The all-you-can-eat Haagen-Dazs is a big bonus, the price is definitely worth it!
The restaurant environment is comfortable and quiet, the place is spacious, and it doesn't feel crowded. There are not many cold cuts, but the quality of all the food is very good. The surprise is the ginseng chicken soup, which tastes excellent. As for the main course, the fish and sirloin were both delicious and presented well. This time I bought this package through Klook, it's super cost-effective, and there are many food choices. The steak is also delicious, it is worth recommending.
You can spend Christmas with your family in this restaurant, have a satisfying meal, have balloons and Santa Claus, and be full of festive atmosphere.
