Joined the tour on 5 Nov 25. Unfortunately, the fall foliage was not at its peak yet but it was still beautiful. We visited Baemsagol. The first part of the trail is relatively easy (there is still stairs and slopes). The last part to the pines was a relatively steep slope so my companion and I decided not to continue. Our guide Sophie and Kelvin were very kind and informative. The bus ride each way took around 3 hours, there is a rest stop (around 20 min) on the way there. On the way back, unless requested, there won't be a rest stop due to traffic conditions (we had a rest stop as it was voiced out). After we reached, we had a 1 hour lunch break and 2.5 to explore the area (trail towards the pine tree is 45 min one way). For lunch, you can arrange it yourself or go with the guide. The recommended meal by the guide is doenjang jjigae with bibimpap (11,000 won) or bibimpap alone (10,000 won). The meal was set up for us when we reached and tasted is good.
Wingwing was a great guide! The mountain was gorgeous and peaceful. the autumn leaves were perfect. recommend this tour to anyone that wants to appreciate fall in South Korea and get out of the city.
Enjoyable tour led by English tour guide, Yakin and chinese speaking tour guide Kelvin. :) As different tourists have different hiking speeds, they ensured that there are no ‘lost sheeps’. They waited and guided everyone along the trekking route. Great autumn foliage!
The date we went was November 4, 2024. The tour guide said that we had chosen the right place. Jirisan Mountain was very beautiful today. After going up the mountain, it was as the tour guide said. The maples were in full bloom, and the red and yellow mountains were full of autumn. Japanese style. The tour guide took us to Jirisan Mountain Thousand-Year Pine. The journey takes about an hour. There are almost all easy-to-walk wooden planks along the way, but there are slopes and it still requires some physical strength. It can be reached in about an hour at normal speed, but it will be unbearable along the way. I kept taking photos because it is so beautiful, so it will take about 1.5 hours to go up the mountain, and it will be faster to go down the mountain, but you still need to reserve enough time to go down the mountain. The activity arranged a Chinese tour guide Kelvin and an English tour guide Jakin. Both of them were very funny and humorous. They not only explained the history of Jirisan Mountain, but also took good care of every passenger along the way, so that everyone could have fun and be safe. go home. It's been a great ride!
Our guide tony sent us meeting instructions the night before the tour, ordered lunch in advance and took photos for us along the trail. The journey from Busan Station to Jirisan took 3 hrs with a toilet break at a service station. Lunch was at an eatery near to the jirisan trail entrance - the food was ready once we arrived and the Pollark soup was really good. 12k won per pax with lots of side dishes. The trail to the thousand year pine tree was about 3km one way and some parts were steep with 20° incline. Along the way, the autumn foliage was beautiful. It will probably peak in a few days in early November. Really enjoyable day trip from Busan and one of the highlights for me!
11/8 Jirisan Mountain Tour Guide Tian Tian is very patient, polite, and attentive in explaining to everyone the precautions for climbing. At the same time, he also carefully informs everyone which section of the road is safer. This little girl is definitely worthy of praise👍. Thank you KLook.
Kelvin speaks great Chinese, has attentive service and is great at taking photos! I happened to visit when the maple leaves were in full bloom, although it was a long drive. The last thousand-year-old pine is surrounded by many iron houses similar to those in Taiwan, which slightly spoils the scenery. There was only one choice for lunch, but it was filling.
Hawan is a very experienced guide. He helped to pre-order our lunch so that food was served immediately upon arrival. After lunch, we were given a few hours of free time to explore the Jiri mountain ourselves and Hawan waited for us at the meeting point. He spotted a place with beautiful foliage and requested the driver to park at a safe place for us to take pictures of the spectacular scenery.
Thank you, both tour guides, for the well-organized and clear itinerary. We caught the beautiful autumn leaves at their peak and walked to the Millennium Pine before heading back.
We went for the tour yesterday (4 Nov 24). The view was awesome as well as the guides (Yakin and Kevin). They were patient and attentive to our requests. Just need to prepare yourself for 3 hours hike.
