Stand Up Paddle Boarding Lesson in Kota Kinabalu

The sunset SUP session was magical. it was raining earlier, but the ocean was calm afterward. A briefing session was conducted and off we go to catch the sunset. we were blessed with the magical view of sunset when the sun suddenly made an appearance out of the clouds. A huge thanks to all instructors; Joe, Dafi, Al and Nizam, for teaching and guiding us. they were all friendly, helpful and eager to give us the best SUP experience. This sunset SUP is now one of my best memories of Sabah!

It was a great experience, but it took a full hour to arrange the pick-up and drop-off, traveling around four places and waiting for people. If you ask for a grab, it actually only takes 15 minutes to get to the designated location. Those who don't like to wait can ask for a grab. faster. The coach's explanation is very powerful, humorous and professional. Before you slide to the designated place, the boards will be connected together with leg ropes. A coach will pull about 2-7 students. Even if you can't stand up and sit down, someone will pull you to run. You can lie down if you want. The instructors are extremely friendly to female students. When you reach the sandbank at sunset, you can take off your heavy life jacket and strip down to your bikini. They will take turns taking photos for you from sunrise to sunset. My wife and I also took photos. We were allotted about one minute to take photos. time. I suggest that men just wish themselves well, untie the link and slide around for fun. Worth attending.

very nice experience with this trip. Coaches were super helpful and humorous. They linked all the boards together so we felt very safe in the middle of the ocean. All the staff were so good at photographing and very patient. worth the time and money.

Thank you Jo for an amazing lesson, we had such wonderful morning! we booked a sunrise lesson for Friday morning but we had to reschedule due to a personal reason. Jo was so kind and understanding and with no problem he rescheduled it for another day. He is such a lovely and interesting man. He also tailored the lesson according to our ability. He came to pick us up and dropped us off back to the hotel. And to add that he is an amazing photographer! I highly recommend him!!!

There are so many marine activities in Kota Kinabalu, but even if you can't swim, you can do it and even if you're scared, you can enjoy it!! It's a paddle board!! It rained often throughout the trip, so I was worried on the day of the tour, but it rained lightly, so I saw a double rainbow and saw an orange sunset through the clouds!! The sky was full of yellow and orange at sunset. But I couldn't take a picture because I was rowing. The two handsome and kind guides gave good explanations, so 3 out of 4 members of my family succeeded in standing on the board!!!! Most of the other tours are seated, but the guides helped a lot with this tour so that beginners can stand up! The guide teachers took really good pictures, so I thought they were photographers. I want to ride again if I get a chance before returning home! We highly recommend the paddle board at Tanjung Aru Beach where you can enjoy the double rainbow and beautiful sunset!!!!

It was the most special experience of my 6 days in Kota Kinabalu! It was very convenient as there was hotel pick-up before the tour and hotel drop-off after the tour, and the instructors were friendly and fun🥰 Although the washing area after the tour was disappointing, it was possible to wash off the sea salt. Photo sharing is done through iDrop or WhatsApp, so if you don't have an iPhone, it would be a good idea to install the app in advance..! I highly recommend it twice or thrice to those who want to truly experience Pinkish Tanjungaru!!! It was the most MEMORABLE moment in Kota Kinabalu! I recommend this all the sorts of tourists; couples, friends or family. The teachers are really kind so anyone can stand up at the paddle board. I could experience the 'Pinkish Tanjungaru' with this tour.

Joe and the handsome staff member, thank you so much for a wonderful time! My mother and I participated! The thorough and fun instructions before entering the ocean were perfect! It's okay if you don't understand much English! They will teach you with gestures. They even took pictures for us at photo spots you can only go to on this tour. We were also able to slowly enjoy the contrast of the sunset and the sea, and the sky changing to pink! Because we participated on a Sunday, we were able to eat at the food stalls nearby that night. We were very satisfied! It was a great memory! Thank you very much.

Both the driver and the instructor were perfect. Very enthusiastic and actively helped us, and we learned very quickly. It was the first time to play the paddle board and we could master it smoothly. We saw a very beautiful sunset and sea. I highly recommend everyone to experience it!
