Hoa Lu, Tam Coc/Trang An, and Mua Cave Day Tour from Hanoi

Ricky is a really good Tour Guide. It was truly wonderful. A packed itinerary with a well-thought-out concept. 1. Breakfast at the rest stop (exceptionally good) 2. Two caves, mountain climbing, water lily field 3. Bike tour with a small temple (optional) 4. Food/Buffet 5. King's Temple 6. Boat trip. Really good value for money. Don't forget to give the boat driver a little tip, they really work hard.

This tour was packed with activities. Our guide was very good keeping the group together. We had a challenging start because some people were late. The tour operator waited over 30 minutes at pickup spot and side of the highway, and they still didn't make it. This tour is very physically demanding. You should not book this with infants, or old people with mobility issues. The stairs are very steep and narrow at some sections. See my photos for reference. If you are fast, you can climb both peaks and walk the dragon's back. However, it is fairly risky with sheer droops on both sides. Some bouldering or rock climbing skill is needed.

We really enjoyed our full-day tour of Ninh Binh! The hotel pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient and helpful for us. The package also included a buffet lunch and complimentary bottled water. Special thanks to our tour guide, Mike, who was very helpful, kind, and friendly throughout the tour. was an amazing experience! would never have thought you could see so many beautiful places in one day. we had an excellent tour guide and he was so great with our itinerary. we went and did a bike ride Hoa Lu in the ancient capital. we then went to have an included buffet lunch. afterwards we drove down to Tam Coc where we went on the little boats and had a boat ride for about an hour and half, which was just had stunning views. to finish the day off we went over to Mua Cave and did the 500 step walk to the top, worth it in the end! the bus was comfortable and nice and cool. would definitely recommend for a new traveller who is wanting to travel to that side of ninh bihn.

The Ninh Binh (Trang An) tour was truly an unforgettable experience. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful landscapes that made the entire journey relaxing and enjoyable. Our tour guide was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The explanations about each attraction and the local culture were clear and engaging, making the trip much more interesting and meaningful. Thanks to the guide’s excellent organization and thoughtful care, we had an amazing time throughout the tour.

It was a fulfilling day trip. Our guide, Kate, kindly explained the entire itinerary and provided excellent insights into basic Vietnamese, history, and culture. The tour, which began with a bike ride in Hoa Lu, created a mystical atmosphere, interwoven with various stories, including the mysterious tales of the Le Dynasty. The Trang An boat tour was a bit boring; although the scenery was stunning, being on the boat for nearly two hours made my back ache and was a bit tiring. It was also a shame that we couldn't visit the caves due to heavy rain the day before, but I suppose that's unavoidable when visiting during the rainy season. Since it was hot, we skipped Hang Mua Mountain and instead went to Hoa Lu village, where we enjoyed the beautiful night view. I think it was a good decision, as it started pouring rain shortly after. It was even better that we got to see a double rainbow.

The tour was absolutely fantastic, especially with Sir Robin and the team guiding us throughout the journey. We visited Hoa Lu, where we learned about Vietnam’s rich history, then experienced a peaceful boat ride in Trang An with stunning views of rivers, mountains, and limestone cliffs. We also climbed the mountain in Tam Coc, around 400 to 500 steps but the breathtaking panoramic view of Ninh Binh at the top made it completely worth it. Even seniors were able to do the climb, so it’s definitely something most people can enjoy. A big thank you to Sir Robin and the company for taking such good care of us from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. It was truly a great experience and absolutely worth the trip!

We took a one-day tour of Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu, Trang An, Mua Caves) departing from Hanoi. Our guide, Martin, led us, and his attentiveness, kindness, and appropriate sense of humor made our trip even more enjoyable. The bus was also very comfortable, and the itinerary ran smoothly without any delays. Thanks to this, we were able to fully enjoy the magnificent natural scenery of Trang An and Ninh Binh. If anyone is planning a Ninh Binh tour, I highly recommend this travel agency.

The whole trip was will put together for a Day Trip as it covered so much! Kaylee did an incredible job of touring us through the entire day from her home town Hoa Lu with Buddhist Temple, historical palace and we climb a mountain nearby. Then it included a delicious buffets with a bike ride. After we got to go canoeing throughout Tam Coc and unde the caves. Then hung out in Hang Mua town area where some of us at the option of climbing incredible Hang Mua Mountain with tht stunning View Points of Vietnam mountains and heck of a work out I accidentally got next up as 2 groups separated on different buses, but the tour guide Kaylee went out of her way to make sure I was on the right bus. She really keep the huge group together and made sure we had everything we needed. Any who visits Hanoi and wants to see the country side of Vietnam including mountains, this is the perfect day trip. i think the tour was amazing despite the rainy weather. It was smooth and well organized. The sceneries were amazing and the lunch buffet was delicious! Our tour guide Ruby was very informative and supportive throughout the tour!
