Val d'Orcia Scenic Tour from Florence with Wine Tastings

Tour guide Roberto was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and allowed the group the opportunity to explore at leisure as much as the schedule allowed for. Cosimo the driver was also great, and punctual which was much appreciated. Unfortunately the last stop in Montepulciano was more rushed and I would have liked more time to explore. The wine tasting lasted a little longer than expected in this location, meaning the time to look around was reduced. Overall a good tour and lots of great wine to try and beautiful vistas of Val d’Orcia and medieval towns to see (Montalcino, Pienza & Montepulciano). It was well organised and the perfect choice for accessing these locations if you haven’t got a car. Tour is appropriate for solo, couples or group travel. Would recommend, but especially to get a feel of this part of Toscana :)!

The tour guide is experienced and I enjoyed the whole tour a lot. The itinerary was well planned, and I can see the tour guide's tremendous effort to make the whole tour best value of money. Such a compact agenda with two wine tasting sessions, and three town visits in Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano.

This tour is a gem. The authentic wallpaper and most photographed Tuscany views are only possible with this Tour. We visted the places where Twilight and Gladiator was shot. The old winery Brunello experience was dreamy and out of this world. Must have experience for someone visiting Florence

The tour exceeded my expectations! Having tried so many different tours here in Klook for various trips, this by far is the best - not just because of the jaw-dropping views but most especially because of our guide. He was speaking 3 different languages and was so attentive of everyone’s needs. Loved that this tour is a mix of wine tasting plus lots of free time to roam around. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

I chose this tour because I had heard that public transportation in the Orcia Valley is inefficient and because we also stopped off in Pienza. It was a bus tour with an English-speaking guide, but the conversation was fun and we had plenty of time to wander around freely, so I was satisfied. In particular, in Pienza, I was able to eat pici at a cafe I wanted to go to. Also, the view of the Orcia Valley from each of the hilltop towns we visited was amazing. However, I thought the explanation of each winery was a little long... (It was a bit long, though.) For solo travelers, renting a taxi for a private tour is too expensive, so I thought this bus tour was very cost-effective.

This is also a really nice tour for Val d’Orcia. The ride was comfortable, the itinerary was well planned, and we were able to visit the places we wanted to see. Our guide was kind and polite, and did his best to make the tour enjoyable for everyone. The only small issue was that our group spoke English, Portuguese, and Spanish, so translating everything into all three languages seemed difficult. I think he wanted to share more information, but the language mix made it challenging. Despite that, it was still a great experience, and I would recommend this tour if you want to visit Val d’Orcia.

It is recommended to arrive at the site early to check in and gather. The check-in staff will be friendly and quick. After checking in, you will be given a sticker for identification. After getting on the bus at eight o'clock, the tour guide Steven introduced today's itinerary in fluent English and Spanish. He also introduced the Florence landmarks passing by along the way. The introduction was very professional and interesting. The driver Paul was also very kind, arrived on time, and the ride went very smoothly. The experience of both wineries was very worthwhile. We also visited the wine cellar where the wine barrels are stored. The owner also introduced us carefully and enjoyed it with cheese.

The guide's explanation was very easy to understand. I would be happy if there was a tour without wine tasting so that we could have more time to explore each village. The wine tasting was full of stories from the winery and took a lot of time. To be honest, I was filled with the desire to go see the villages soon. I enjoyed experiencing the Christmas market in Montepulciano, and I was refreshed by the cute houses and neat churches of Pienza, and the sunset scenery of Montalcino was very beautiful.

4/30 I was very happy to meet the great tour guide Giovanno. He patiently, sincerely and meticulously took care of the group members from all over the world. I particularly appreciated how he brought the history of the city into the explanation. The tour of three small towns plus two wine testing sites made it a very enriching day.
