Arts in the City: Revisit Tai Hang|Arts Workshops & Guided Tours
New Activity
大坑
- Presented by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, “Arts in the City: Revisit Tai Hang” will be held from 19 September to 31 October 2026. Building on the success of the inaugural art walk “small valley TAI HANG” in 2023, the project once again brings the public to this small, charming neighbourhood on the north shore of Hong Kong Island
- Tai Hang is a place of criss-crossing streets and alleys, century-old Fire Dragon traditions, historic buildings, neighbourhood memories and the everyday rhythms of local life. Participating artists from “small valley TAI HANG” are invited to return to the community: weaving artist Zoe Siu will create a new art installation, while mixed-media artist Max Cheng and paper mache art sculpture collective Hira Hira will host handicraft workshops connected to the Tai Hang community. A "Mini Fire Dragon" paper-crafting workshop, inspired by the Tai Hang Fire Dragon tradition, will also be held, along with themed guided tours around historic buildings and community stories
