I am so glad I booked for this tour as it made it easier and enjoyable. The tulip festival/flower park was very nice even though the tulips were wilting. Strawberry picking was good too, the strawberries were so sweet and big.
Tulips were so beautiful although the time spent was short, strawberries were delicious! Our tour guide was Connor and I highly recommend him. He knew from previous feedbacks that the Tulip Tour was short, therefore asked the entire tour group if we wanted to extend our time, the cost was that we would go back late due to the inevitable traffic jam. It was worth it! Thank You Connor for caring and sharing with us all about Korea, it was enjoyable.
loved the experience. our guide was Katherine and she was very fluent in english. she was very accomodating and friendly. the ride was approx 3 to 4 hours, which was quite a long ride, but it was worth it because the place was so dainty. it was a beautiful day, the sun was out, and the tulips were as pretty as they can be. we also stopped by a strawberry farm. the owner there was so generous that aside from the strawberries that we picked, she gave us a handful of strawberries to eat before we go.
beautiful garden, tulip are at blooming time, worth to visit, despite traveling time on bus is quite long, around 7 hour on bus
Austin was a nice patient and considerate person. Long rides in the vehicle is pleasant. There is no kkotji beach and strawberry jam making included as per stated in the package. Activities not done fully checked for 2 place/activity thus value for money discounted in stars.
The flower park is very amazing. I suggest starting earlier (I noticed other tours started as early as 7am first pick up point) since it is a huge place to explore. There were some miscommunication on the arrangement for lunch and meet-up after the park exploration. Maybe because of language barrier issues. The strawberry picking activity is fun. I got to taste and take home (back in our country!) some of the strawberries from Korea which are far more better than our strawberries. Overall, this is a very nice package tour, maybe just improve on the issues I mentioned above.
I decided to spend Labour Day in Taean, enjoying the Tulip Festival 🌷 Our tour guide set up a WhatsApp group to keep in contact with us before pick up and during the trip. The journey from Seoul to Taean took about 2.5-3hrs which actually passes quite quickly. There were some great views of the islands just before arriving at the festival site, and the weather was beautiful. Our tour guide arranged lunch in advance with a restaurant at the festival site for those who wanted to try soy crab. There wasn't very clear communication so when we got off the bus, we couldn't find the tour guide. After finding the tour guide at the main gate, we went to the restaurant. There seemed to be a misunderstanding with the restaurant as the food was not ready and we had to wait about 10 mins for a table. I don't mind waiting but we had arranged in advance and we had limited time at the location, so that was a shame. Once we were inside, we ordered the soy crab and all of the food was delicious. Finally we went inside the festival grounds and the flower displays were incredible. The main flowers are tulips, but there were so many others. There were even some King Cherry blossoms that were still in bloom! Definitely a great place to take lots of photos. The tour included Kkotji Beach in the itinerary, but I think it was slightly misleading as the beach actually runs alongside the festival site and we can only view it from there. We didn't actually visit the beach which was a shame. After having lunch we had about 1.5 hours at the festival which seems like plenty of time but it really isn't! It's huge so unfortunately we didn't get to see everything there. When we arrived at the gate about a minute after the meeting time, the tour guide wasn't there as promised. They had already returned to the bus. I think this caused a lot of confusion and a few delays. Our final stop was the strawberry farm. It was about an hour away from the festival site. We had 15 more minutes added to our time at the festival so the time spent at the strawberry farm was very short and felt rushed. However, we picked the strawberries pretty quickly and had some time to enjoy pre-picked and washed strawberries. It was a fun experience. The tour originally included 3 drop off sites, but this was changed to 1 and we arrived at Hongdae around 6:30pm. This tour actually started later than a lot of the other tours I've been on. I think ot could have started earlier so that we could have more time at each location. Overall, I enjoyed my first trip to Taean Tulip Festival and my first try of soy crab. However, I felt like the trip was very rushed and that the schedule was too tight. There were a few miscommunications throughout the day which made it a little frustrating and stressful at times. I also think that the itinerary should state that we do not actually visit Kkotji Beach and that it's a view of the beach that we can have from the festival site. I've been on several tours in Korea and this year I feel that the standards of the tours have dropped a little. I think the prices have increased a lot which has led to tour companies trying to cram too much into the itinerary, or not allowing enough time for us to actually enjoy the places we're visiting. I would prefer to pay a little less and see fewer places in one day so that I can fully experience the place I'm visiting without feeling so rushed.
The tour guide is kind and pleasant, and the sightseeing bus is clean and hygienic. The weather is just right, and it's the flower-viewing season, which is a joy in life. The itinerary passed through Long Beach without stopping. Man, the tour bus is clean and hygienic. The weather is just right, and it’s the flower-viewing season, which is a joy in life. The tour is so amazing. This is a not so common tour in Korea. We are lucky to be able to join this tour for a limited time. We enjoy checking out the tulips. Our guide is so friendly and very helpful. She's very fluent in English so it's easy to communicate. The only challenge is travel time because of the traffic. Some of the tulups are already withered but still nice. plus there are still king cherries in bloom. We just like all the flowers.
instructions for pick up point were very clear. the tour guide spoke primarily Chinese rather than English but it was no problem. the tulip farm was 3 hour from the city center. for lunch he recommended this tasty restaurant that sold raw crab (or you can opt for the convenience store which was nice getting to try food I wouldn’t normally get on my own. the tulip farm wasn’t expansive but also wasn’t small. it was the perfect size for about an hour of walking around. the tulips were stunning. we drove another hour to a strawberry farm. we got a box and got free reign to pick our strawberries. the strawberries were big and juicy. you can really taste the difference. it took about 20 minutes. the farm owner gave us extra strawberries to eat. overall, a good day trip if you have time. the tour had no problems and the tour guide was friendly.
