Reviews
As someone who hasn't read the original work, I was deeply captivated by the story and am now willing to buy the book to read it thoroughly. The actors primarily performed through monologues and projections on a screen, accompanied by songs and illustrations, which drew the audience in. Although there were occasional confusing arrangements (for example, a few minutes of Cantonese songs from different years playing in the left and right channels, which was very noisy), these minor flaws did not detract from the overall experience. I recommend it to high school students or anyone unfamiliar with the work.
Before entering, I thought it was a mystery play and was really looking forward to it because there would definitely be a killer in the plot. However, after the show started, I was completely confused. The actors immediately revealed who the killer was and then explained how the event happened, often telling more than acting. I really couldn't get into this style of interpretation. Every scene basically used the same performance method. In one scene, the entire story was conveyed only through animation. The only part of the play where I felt a little engaged was the very last scene. Throughout the play, I felt the most connection during the flashbacks to major technological events and when classic golden oldies were played, though the songs being played with alternating left and right channels really tested my hearing. This kind of performance style is genuinely not my cup of tea. I just wanted to go in and watch actors perform a stage play on stage. It seems I really misunderstood the difference between a theater and a stage play!
The stage actors performed with great effort, but the content and arrangement were very chaotic, failing to convey the intensity of the book. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
Purchasing tickets was convenient, and the experience was excellent. I hope Klook can collaborate with more performance groups.
The concept is very interesting. I didn't quite understand the scene about pop songs from 1985-2003.

There are too many stories, and the plot is advanced through monologues rather than acting. There are many comic book scenes that explain the plot, but many of the early ones have mediocre artwork. Many classic songs are interspersed, but the overlapping vocals create noise. Overall, I don't highly recommend it.
I've never seen such a terrible stage play. There's no need to even explain how bad it was; I will never watch this theater group again.
I could tell the actors worked very hard, but after watching the entire performance, I still didn't understand the overall message.
