Reviews summaryYosemite in September boasts crisp autumn weather, perfect for strolling. However, the majestic waterfalls of spring and summer are merely a shadow of their former selves by autumn, though this does not detract from the national park's magnificent grandeur. This tour departs from the Marriott Hotel in the morning, with a stop at a rest area where you can purchase breakfast and lunch at the supermarket, Wendy's, or KFC (there's also a restaurant at the visitor center). Along the way, the driver enthusiastically narrates the history and stories of San Francisco and Yosemite. Upon reaching photo spots, the driver will slow down or allow everyone to disembark. Dinner will be at the same rest stop on the return journey. Overall, the tour is packed with fun, and the driver is enthusiastic, but the price is a bit expensive, with no other major flaws.
This guided tour trip was definitely worth it! It's friendly for folks who aren't ready for intense hiking too. The stops were carefully thought of... from food stops to sight seeing stops. Kudos to our driver who was very informative and considerate as well.
I really enjoyed the trip! Our driver and tour guide, Andy, was really nice, cheerful and patient. He is also very knowledgeable. He explained a lot, not just about Yosemite, but also the history and the ecological system. The view was fantastic and I had a really great time as a solo traveler
On February 28th, I took a tour with Extranomical Tours. I paid $104 in cash (as a non-U.S. resident). Our guide and driver, Glenda, was excellent and provided explanations in English throughout the trip. I boarded in Livermore, and we arrived at Oakdale Raley's around 7:40 AM for everyone to buy breakfast. The guide also purchased snacks and water for the group to take from the vehicle. After stopping at a few photo spots, we had about 3 hours to explore the park freely, followed by visits to more photo locations. Unfortunately, Tuolumne Grove was closed that day, so we couldn't go. We left the national park around 4:00 PM and returned to Raley's for a 30-minute dinner break. We arrived back in Livermore at 7:40 PM. The guide mentioned that tips were optional and not required, and there were USB charging ports available on the bus.
Our guide Alberto from Extranomical Tours is such a legend! The bus has USB ports where you can recharge your phone. Just make sure to bring your own cords or adapters. We were lucky enough to see the sequoia trees! Overall, highly recommended and kudos to Extranomical Tours
awesome guide + drivers. passionate about America and yosemite Valley. we were the first batch to cover Sequoias. we did tracking in ice and driver rob inspired us to accompanied it. Thanks rob.
A wonderful Yosemite National Park experience, perfect for visitors who prefer minimal walking while still enjoying breathtaking scenic views and photography spots.
Once you sign up the local team will contact you, really appreciate the quick respond to all my questions about pick up location/time.Our tour guide/driver Rob made this trip so great, he provided information/history about San Francisco & Yosemite. I can feel his passion for these places, and take things serious about this tour.Thumbs up for this tour and will definitely be back when the day is longer!
The national park is awesome, with giant landscape and sequoia. Please be noted that if you would like to see the sequoia, you will need to hike for around 1-1.5hours in total, may not be suitable for elderly. Tour Guide is fun and energetic, you may need to prepare tips at the end. The only negative side is time management, the entrance of park takes 1hour to purchase the ticket and after lunch we wait for more than 45 mins for extra passengers that just checked out from the hotel in the national park. That means every location's visiting is shortened.
Great trip with Debi, would thoroughly recommend! Plenty to see, and there was enough time to do all we wanted to do.
