very informative history information from guide Michael Feng and Donna , trip are well organised and planned out , value for money , I would recommend this tour to all first time travellers to Beijing
despite the rain and wind, the trip to the wall was great fun as was the guide himself. however, for the summer palace, I would personally have preferred just having the entry ticket and walking around, discovering the grounds solo. you have to pay a small extra fee to visit the temple located inside the grounds.
I'm so glad we booked the tour because we didn't have to worry about transportation to the Great Wall of China. It was a good deal for the Summer Palace to be included as well. We enjoyed the tour and had a great time!

Read the reviews - we went during the golden week so we expected it to be hectic. Flower gave out a lot of instructions and directions and basically we only had one option to go for - up down the cable car. Queue and weather wasn't that bad - just be patient and wear smth nice. Don't wear neutrals or you're gonna blend in with the bricks and hikers in photo ops. Honestly, it was rly pretty up tower 12 - walk down at least 5 towers to experience the diff terrains. Wear proper and protective shoes.
The visit time to Great Wall is shorter than we expected. Cannot explore more because we were rushing to go to Summer Palace. The queue is so long to ride the cableway & slides. We end up using cable way to go up and down from the Great Wall (no slide). The Summer Palace is so big! Glad that we take the boat to explore the place. And we glad that Michael is our tour guide. He's good at this job!
Positives: Good communication from guide day before tour on WhatsApp. Meeting location was easy to get to. Transport to Great wall was comfortable with good Aircon. Guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Felt like good value for money. Negatives: Transport from Great Wall to Summer Palace was uncomfortable and Aircon non existent - was left sweaty and with a sore back. If you do the combined tour you don't have time to do the full Great Wall experience.
Our tour guides, Michael and Dona, spoke English very well, so they were able to help us effectively. However, the driver of the car that transferred us from Great Wall to Summer Palace smoked all throughout the trip. It made the journey very unpleasant. Hope they could improve this part.
It was my first time booking with Klook and the experience was amazing.I travel a lot and in the future i will use only Klook.I booked one day tour to Mudianyou great wall and summer palace and everything was great..Me my hasband and another person of the group booked to visit the summer palace and Klook hired a taxi only for us to go to the summer palace and join another group there and then after finishing the visit hired another taxi and drop of us to the centre of Beijing as the program was.Ovel all i give 10 to 10 to Klook.
