What to expect
This convenient day trip delivers you by bullet train from Chengdu to Xi'an for a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Terracotta Warriors. If you have extra time, you can climb Xi’an’s remarkably preserved ancient city walls or stroll around the Muslim Street to experience the local life and try their tasty snacks. You can choose to end your tour in Xi'an or travel back to Chengdu. Round -trip hotel transfers, train tickets, entrance fee and local lunch are included.
Our driver will meet you at the lobby of your Chengdu hotel, then transfer you to Chengdu East Railway Station. From there, you’ll board a 3.5-hour high-speed bullet train to Xi’an, where a local guide&driver will be waiting for you at the station's exit.
On our way to the Terracotta Army, your guide will pass along insights about both the site and Xi’an. You’re welcome to raise any questions whenever they come up — the drive to the museum takes roughly 40 minutes.
Upon arrival, follow your tour guide to explore the museum’s 3 iconic pits: Pit 1 (the largest, boasting a grand army formation), Pit 2 (with the fullest range of arms and a complex layout), and Pit 3 (the smallest, serving as the command center).
After enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you can opt to visit the 600-year-old Xi’an City Wall—depending on your train schedule. Climb to the top of this centuries-old landmark and admire the panoramic views of the city below.
You also can opt to explore the famous Xi’an Muslim Quarter with your tour guide if time permits. Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to the railway station for your return trip to Chengdu, where our local driver will pick you up and take you back.
