Jinli Ancient Street

Jinli Ancient Street is a well-known commercial pedestrian street in Chengdu, consisting of a large area of antique buildings in the architectural style of the late Qing Dynasty. It has many residences, bars, famous restaurants, and the famous Wuhou Temple.

Jinli Ancient Street is just a wall away from Wuhou Temple. Tourists usually visit here after visiting Wuhou Temple. The street is filled with Chengdu's unique hustle and bustle. The grey tiles in the ancient street are well-arranged, and the bluestone road meanders forward. The shops on both sides of the street are filled with many local specialties, such as handmade leather bags, colorful cloth lanterns, and many old Chengdu craftsmen making sugar paintings and dough figurines. In addition, a variety of delicacies will make your mouth water, including Zhang Fei beef, Douhua (tofu pudding), beef Jiao Bing (crispy pancake), and Boboji (skewers in spicy sauce), each with its own flavor.

When night falls, Jinli Ancient Street lights up with large red lanterns, and the bars and teahouses are bustling with activity. One of the more famous is the Lotus Mansion Bar, where local singers perform every night. If you are tired from shopping, you can take a break here.
