The Peninsula x Star Ferry Afternoon Tea
Every Saturday, The Peninsula’s Classic Afternoon Tea Voyage brings its signature Afternoon Tea experience aboard the World Star. Beginning in Tsim Sha Tsui with a warm welcome from a Peninsula Page Boy and a commemorative photograph, guests then step into an elegant oasis on Victoria Harbour, where refreshed Star Ferry interiors, live jazz and mellow vocals set the scene. As spectacular harbour views unfold, savour a curated selection of chef-crafted savouries and sweet creations, accompanied by artisanal teas and coffees, with the option to elevate the experience further with prestige Champagne, sparkling wine or sparkling tea.

As the sun dips low and sets the Hong Kong skyline aglitter, this exclusive yet playful cruise embarks – featuring mood-setting music from live DJs, refined canapés, free-flow drinks, and unforgettable photo ops.

I was surprised there was a band that performed. the peninsula scones are still very good. the other items on the menu were hits and misses. it was a bit difficult to walk because the water was a bit chops so the ferry was swaying a lot. if you expect a quiet, prim and proper high tea, this is not the one for you. But if you are open to having fun and enjoy the whole experience, then you should try this. a ferry ride and a beautiful sunset plus the peninsula high tea experience with music, its different and with the right attitude, a very enjoyable afternoon
it was raining when we had the activity. overall this was fun, and worth it. we were not able to eat everything, good thing they allow to take out the food. there’s also a band in this cruise. overall its worth it!
This was an absolutely brilliant experience. The band, food, etc was great. We will definitely do this again, next time with a big group of friends.
The staff were friendly, polite, and proactive in their service, which made for a great experience. The entire event, cruising through Victoria Harbour, offered a completely different perspective compared to viewing the scenery from land. The only minor drawbacks were the limited selection of cold dishes and cocktails. It would have been better if some fruit had been included.
Itinerary: Perfect for celebrations, with a great atmosphere, comfortable environment, and excellent service.
The trip itself is remarkable, but some of the serving staff are possibly trainees or part-time staff. They served unprofessionally, which was not what we expected from a luxury brand like 'Peninsula'.
The atmosphere was incredibly lively, and the song selection was outstanding, inspiring guests to get up and dance. The performers really energized the entire ambiance. Many people seemed reluctant to disembark, a testament to the wonderful experience. Smiles adorned everyone's faces, regardless of nationality, and the joy was palpable. On the dance floor, swept up in the rhythm of the music, people forgot their everyday worries and fully embraced the happiness. This kind of experience highlights the warmth of friendship and the beauty of life, making us look forward to participating again. On the way home, our hearts were full of pleasant memories, as if we could still hear the familiar melodies echoing in our ears.
The famous Peninsula High tea collaboration with Star Ferry is a truly unique HK experience. Sailing through Victoria Harbour with amazing views, live music and delicious food, it is a perfect date/double date activity or catchup with friends! Highly recommend!
Excellent experience. I booked this as a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend, he was delighted. The vibe was cool, everybody was happy and dancing to the live music band. I just wished I told them that it was his birthday, as they would put a Birthday wish on the plate, but he was still very happy. It was very organized, the staff was great, the weather was amazing. Would totally recommend!
