I liked the hotel for my first time in Florence, but I probably would try something different the next time. It was pretty to walk in to and away from the busiest parts of Florence but close enough to walk to in 5-10 minutes, which I liked. The front desk and staff were very nice, especially Martina. The breakfast was pretty good as well. We had the double room for 4 people so it was like having two rooms adjoined. Both rooms had its own bed and bathroom/shower and sink, which was a big plus with 4 people and two females. The room was a little warm for us and I heard another customer complaining as well. No control of your air conditioning…auto set at 25 degrees Celsius. The amenities included a fridge, stove top, and extra kitchen faucet which was convenient. The shower was a little small, but I managed as a 185 lb man.

The front desk and lobby area are only open from 8am-8:30pm. It is locked in the off hours and there is no one there if you need anything. We had several rooms in our party and one had a very musty odor and the power had issues. Another room had a leak in the ceiling during a rain storm. The breakfast is good but the one lady working it was very rude. Would not stay there again on another trip in Florence.

We stayed in a Superior Double room as a family of 5 with 3 kids and it was wonderful. Beautiful and clean room, friendly staff, breakfast was lovely. The location was great— walking distance to lots of shopping, restaurants and the Duomo. Will definitely stay at Corte Guelfa when we return to Florence!

Great

Stayed with kids

We had a very pleasant stay. The location is great, making it easy to explore the area, and the apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Even though we didn’t cook, the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to note is that there isn’t a 24/7 reception. After the evening (around 8 p.m.), you enter the building using an access code. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something future guests should be aware of. Overall, we would happily stay here again.

Fantastic

Check in got less then perfect bc the hotel isn’t staffed 24/7 which caused a little stress. But the staff was great and made a plan for us in case our train was late (it was). Fortunately the manager was still here when we arrived. Great staff, great room, AC!!!, and really comfy bed. Would definitely stay again!! (Note I dinged them on price - but price was pretty comparable to all hotels iirc - so maybe the ding was more about hotels in general vs this one specifically).
